Yeah it says it on a thread somewhere here that Richard told Terry Angus he didn't like playing her. It makes sense, if he didn't want to play the Storyteller, might as well give it to someone who doesn't have too many characters.
What's weird is, some of the most moralistic and well written TV programs happen to be kid's shows. I suppose there is more emphasis on making sure kid's grow up well.
Then we become adults and, with few exceptions, our entertainment shows become less and less moral and clever. I guess it's...
Yeah, "Gone But Not Forgotten" is another one I'd love to see.
I had no idea when I was first watching Fraggle Rock how deep a show it was, though I was aware it was a bit unusual. I wish I had been old enough to fully understand back then lol.
I know that the Second Season of Fraggle Rock isn't even officially out yet (September 5, yay!), but I really hope Season Three is put on DVD too at some point. Because I'd really like to see the "Wembley and the Mean Genie" episode. It's one of the few episodes I clearly remember watching as a...
It's interesting that Richard played a lot of "guest star" characters on Fraggle Rock that interacted with Wembley: The Magical Spider-Fly, The Wizard, The Mean Genie, and Mudwell the Mudbunny.
Probably so he could be more available. Richard was most likely not on Fraggle Rock too regularly because all the other main Muppeteers had main Fraggles, and someone had to work on Sesame Street.
Right, you'd see Steve at Sesame Street, but Dave was never really part of it. I believe one of them said in an interview that Jim didn't want them working on Sesame Street initially because he needed some puppeteers to be free to do other things.
Um this is probably not what you mean, but it's pretty unusual that characters like Lips and Clifford who didn't even enter Disney World with the band are suddenly there!
My mother and I thought the same thing about Prairie. It's like buying new furniture when you already have some.
I read about the Abby character in the New York Times the other day. I don't know, I'm not crazy about yet another princess-y female figure on television. It might just perpetuate...
Me neither! lol
And I do miss seeing the British version of Whose's Line Is It Anyway on TV.
I went to Ireland a few years ago and saw The Weakest Link for the first time and thought "What the heck is this????" I told my mom about it over the phone and she informed me the show was soon...
Using the original Gobo is strange, as is leaving out Mokey (though I'm glad Junior is there this time).
That being said, I'm probably the only person in the world who likes the original Gobo better! Lol
Nice line up idea. Maybe someday, who knows.
Funny, Nickelodeon treated the Muppets better than Disney ever did, showing Muppet Babies, The Muppet Show, and their "Muppet Matinee."
