They don't own ALL of Sesame Street. They ONLY claim ownership of clips that just so happened to be used on their releases of Henson products. Stuff from Henson's Place and the 20 and Still Counting special. Which is still bull if you ask me.
We already have ads before shows, even kid's ones... the kids ones are at least disguised as funding credits. The adult shows have actual commercials running before programming.
Might as well:
What would you like to see as the plot in the new Muppet "comedy caper" type film? Hard to say... would I want some sort of mystery or something? We haven't really had a Muppet Mystery movie before. All I know is I want to see the reset button hit and hit hard. Something in...
If you haven't seen it...
The Sandy Bottomfeeder character is a dead on spoof of the changes the 80's cartoon had over the 60's cartoon. His overwrought pathos is basically how John K felt about the 80's series, after saying how funny the 60's series was. I wish someone posted this with...
Marvel's Solicitations for July make it official
And thankfully it's back to the original sale price of 2.99. Hopefully this won't be marred by any edits to fit advertisements.
I refer to, of course, being scared out of watching newer projects. There's nothing wrong with the older stuff at all. But the difference between nostalgia and a franchise is a recurring presence.
I'm saying "Cheapest" wouldn't grab them back like The Muppets did. it would alienate them...
The more I think about "Cheapest Muppet Movie" the more I realize why Jim and the rest didn't do it. It's too high concept, and it could either play off as fun weird or unsettling weird. It seems more fit for a Monty Python movie, I think it could work for the Muppets, but more casual fans...
I wish I watched more of Danny Phantom. I really have to pick up some of those SHOUT DVD's of the series. I really liked what I saw of the series.
I'm a big FOP fan. I actually quite enjoyed that weird live action movie. I hope Shout gets the license to released that as a retail season by...
I have to ask this, because I'm confused.
Do they only call boys who like MLP Bronies? I've seen girls wearing Brony shirts, and I swear that they only called boys that.
Kung Fu Panda's pretty good too. Sure, it loses a lot of the depth of the movies, but it manages to get the spirit down. I like that they have the Jackie Chan character (Monkey) being voiced by the same guy who played Jackie Chan in the incredibly awesome Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon. But...
I don't think it was changing the personalities so much as not quite grasping the subtleties. Alvin was sort of Bart Simpson like (again, Simpsons writer), Simon didn't quite have the same level of nerdy shyness... but I think Theodore was pretty well written, especially in the second film (one...
To me, the only thing I think sounds the slightest bit... well, I can't even use worrisome, since that's far too harsh for me to say so. But the only thing that tastes off is the release date, but again... I'm sure if the film makers don't feel that next year is enough time, Diz will give them...
An open mind's the only way to approach this one. Sounds like it either could be very promising or terrible beyond all belief with very little middle ground. But the Puppet presence of this show is something to celebrate. Think about it this way... this is a Disney project. The Muppets did...
Unless they can get Brian back to do the movie, Sal would either be completely absent or recast. Somehow, I think Tyler Bunch could work as Sal.
I hope there's more of a balance between new and old characters, at least more Pepe and Rizzo to round it out. There were just TOO many Muppets they...
The second one was alright, I guess... I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first. As for Shrek, they planned for quite a few more movies. Somewhere in the ballpark of 6 or 7, but they decided it ran its course at #4. And Puss and Boots... technically, they have five movies, but other than Puss...
Here's the hard thing.
These movies are pretty accurate to the source material, considering the entire franchise is based on recordings being sped up. They just happened to make 2 cartoon series based on the concept of 3 large singing rodents going to school and doing stuff that humans do...
It's gonna be a LOOOONG wait. We're only on Madagascar 3 by now.
Still, my major complaint is that they're doing 4 movies, having them only get home on the 4th. That makes the third one complete filler, and that's the problem I had with Shrek 3. I mean, the Shrek Dad angle worked, everything...
Yeah... I see crap like that all the time, but on off brand stations or sometime during the weekend daytime programming. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not trusting anything that looks like it was done in the basement of a 3rd grader who's just learned Power Point and or WMM or some...
