Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
The main problem is Disney pretty much only wanted the Muppets for the sake of owning them.
I've said it for years that Disney hasn't utilized the Muppets to the best of their abilities, and they've shelved numerous projects, including a new TV series, a Halloween special, among other things...
Actually, I just found out what the whole 100 episode rule thing is all about...
Apparently, back in the day when syndication wasn't quite as big a deal as it is now, shows weren't allowed to enter syndication until they ceased production and wrapped up altogether, however, by the 70s...
When a show has been on as long as this one has, and has gone through as many writers as well, they're BOUND to get SOME little details off... another specific one I've noticed is when it comes to the events of "D.W. Thinks Big" (I THINK that's the title): Lucy goes back and forth between being...
Hey Hubert, have you forgotten about your own Arthur forum? I haven't seen you there in a long time, and there appears to be a slight spike in activity lately (supposedly, someone who used to work on the show is posting right now under the handle Dark Bunny).
Yeah, I hate the way they redesigned Buster's father, he looked extremely creepy... he USED to look pretty much like an grown-up version of Buster, so I don't get the deal behind redesigning him.
I've been curious about something...
Are puppet sets (long term or limbo) built on a human scale, before being raised for use for puppets? I couldn't help but notice that in a number of Muppet sketches, inserts, etc, the sets seem unusually big in relations to the puppets... or, at the very...
Alls I know is Dr. Seuss seems to have been victimized by Christmas.
Think about it, How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of, if not THE, most successful specials of his... anymore, it seems like Christmas is the only time you see any other Seuss specials, including Cat in the Hat and...
I've tried that route before, but unfortunately, there's really only one upholstery store in town (that I know of), and their selection of foam is usually almost toast anyway. :smirk:
Most of the time, Jo-Ann has salvaged sheets and scraps of foam in varying thickness that you can purchase, I haven't had any trouble getting half inch foam... matter of fact, every puppet I've built has half inch foam for their torsos.
Only problem is sometimes, even the scraps can cost an...
Admittedly, there is one thing I wish they'd do differently: stop with voice-overs during the actual clips... the narratives okay, the commentary of course, but the silly little V/Os are really unnecessary, and sometimes even ruin the clips.
I over looked some of the details, but yes, 1.5'' thick foam is pretty much unheard of, definitely a no-no... an inch is about the maximum thickness you would ever want to go for all overall construction, but like Muppetlab says, half inch would work well too. From experience, I've traditionally...
