Hi All,
This is a shameless plug for the new book I am writing... or rather, Yogi is writing. I'm just helping him with it. It's going to be very funny, even if I do say so myself.
It will be out later this year, but pre-orders should be appearing soon. It will be a fairly inexpensive...
I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'm putting it here...
I drove past the Henson Studios in Hollywood today and the Kermit "Charlie Chaplin" statue is gone! I don't know if he's just out for repairs or if it's permanent. If it's the latter, it's too bad. I wonder if Disney finally made...
This comes directly from Dave Goelz. I always thought he was named for Muppet builder Faz Fazakas, but Dave doesn't think so, especially since they are spelled differently. He said there was a rumor that it was "F. OZ-zie" for Frank Oz, but he's not even sure that's true.
What's the real...
I already posted this in the "Future Muppet Replicas Wishlist" topic, but thought it could also use its own topic as well.

It was announced this morning that Disney is pouring $1.1 Billion dollars into remaking California Adventure (Yes, that "billion" with a "b"! More than they spent building the park in the first place.)
Only Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Soarin' Over California are safe. Everything else...
Big news from Comic-Con! Kevin Eslinger has kindly given me permission to announce the next Muppet Replica after Kermit coming from Master Replicas. It has been officially appoved by Disney.

Was Once Ernie
:p
Does anyone know how the giant Sloth is operated? He has two working hands, instead of one being on a wire like Big Bird or Bear. At first, I thought since the whole show is done on blue screen (or green screen) that there was a second puppeteer operating the right arm, but then I saw a shot...
Yikes! The guy must be trying to cash in on Christmas. I'm sure these would make great presents... if you were rich enough to give them!
Elmo
The Count
Beaker
Personally, I'm holding out for Janice. :flirt:
:p
Elmo's back up. He's apparently made several of these, but the pictures always seem to be the same.
Elmo Auction
I think we've figured out by now that his reserve is $700.
:p
I thought these sold the first time... so, either this guy has another pair of them or, uh, well, they didn't.
Ernie and Bert Replicas
To me, they are very close, but no cigar. They're off just enough to ruin it for me.
:p
Speaking of people who wrote for the Muppets, on a happier note...
Two weeks ago, I met Jack Burns! I swear I thought he had passed away. I vividly remember hearing about it. But there he was in the flesh and looking good. His hair is all white now, but that's still better than being dead...

It was nice to see Karen Prell on the Henson panel at the San Diego Comic-Con International. Although she didn't get to speak much, she did thank the fans for their campaign to bring Fraggle Rock to DVD.
