I hate to go all conspiracy theorist again, but I'm really curious about all of this engineering hype that is being fed to kids as of late...
I mean, when Sesame Workshop announced that one of the core educational goals for Season 42 was going to be engineering, people were raising their...
I've been watching some JHH clips on YouTube, and I gotta say, Ubu really intrigues me... he's almost like a cross between a traditional Muppet puppet, and a Creature Shop creature: he's very expressive, and I wonder how his facial features are controlled, the movements of his eyebrows and...
It seems like a number of franchises or series that focus on a character or characters who are young children almost always end up having a pre-teen or teen revamp years later, either to try to move the characters on to the next level, try to reach out to different audiences, or even try to...
As most of you guys know by now, IDGet (my favorite webcomic), is known for occasional spoof/parody strips of various different things from time to time, including Muppets; well, the most recent strip was a clever little tribute to Jerry Nelson...
You know, when I read these supposed urban legends about some of the lucrative things Jim did in the early days of the Muppets, such as buying out the entire inventory of "Wacky Stacks" to supply the Muppets with their eyes for years to come, or stock piling the specific fabrics and material he...
Back in the 1990s and 2000s, various different older animation companies, such as Hanna-Barbera, Jay Ward Productions, Warner Bros, etc. released these CD collections of the various different, yet memorable sound effects, music cues, buttons, and such that they would use frequently in their...

WHEN are we going to get a birthday calendar around here again?
This isn't like the "Songs You Can't Stand" thread, this is pretty much the musical version of Zeppo's "Movies You Can't Turn Off" thread, where you hear a song that you either like or don't necessarily favor too well, yet you listen to it anyway whenever you hear it.
Two biggies for me are...
I'm just curious if anybody else has their own intepretations on what a year is like for them.
I know according to the calendar, January 1 marks the beginning of a new year, and according to Mother Nature, spring marks the beginning of new life, etc, but do those really apply to you? If not...
Fads and obsessions always come and go, sometimes they make sense, but a lot of times they don't, and in most cases, some of them are just plain weird.
Like take the present times for example, I will never understand why it's like the entire world is obsessed with bacon right now... it's been...
I pretty much know that Jim wanted the Muppets to seem as lifelike and believable as possible, hence why although we rarely see them below the waist, whenever they would walk across the scene or anything, we would hear footsteps, though it seems like to me, that may have been a little too much...
So anyway, when I went to see Brave tonight, during the never-ending previews, I saw apparently Despicible Me has caught sequelitis as well.
I actually didn't see the first one, I heard it was an okay movie, and it's always been my opinion that Steve Carell is a MUCH better voice actor than a...
Admittedly, I was never exactly a big fan of her work, but it's still sad knowing that we've lost yet another influential figure in the entertainment industry.

Maybe I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention, but it seems like this news went under the radar, because apparently this was announced a couple of months ago, yet I just now noticed it.
I got to thinking last night... we just had The Muppets in theaters last November, and it was such an incredible hit that a sequel is planned for theaters for 2013, and NOW, we've gotten word that Sesame Workshop is teaming up with Twentieth Century Fox to make a new theatrical SST movie.
So...
They've forced Zamzar (the better alternative to MediaConverter) to stop allowing people to download videos from YouTube.
In addition to this and MediaConverter not even working anymore, this is going to make it almost impossible for people to make fan-generated content such as Poops and MVs...
Sometime in Season 33, IIRC, Papa Bear gets Baby Bear a pet: a parrot whom he names Ralphie (and also passes on his speech impendiment to)... it seems like Ralphie (or Walphie) made sporadic appearances over the next couple of seasons, whenever there was a story that had to do with pets and...
