Just found out about this a few minutes ago. Some may remember him as the owner of Al's Drive-In from HAPPY DAYS, and/or some may remember him as Murray the Cop from the 70s version of THE ODD COUPLE . . . and some may remember him for perhaps being the only other person in show biz with a...
I found this by accident, and I don't even know who, exactly, is behind this, but this some kind of a fake SST wiki that somebody has created: basically, it's full of a number of screencaps and other images that are obviously edited to include other non-Sesame characters such as Teletubbies and...
Here's another Sesame Street Newsflash: the street will be gaining another new Muppet character in the form of a cute little autistic girl named Julia.

Or, at the very least, since AMs traditionally came in green, blue, lavendar, and orange, was there intended to be an orange Whatnot? Scooter's overall shape and design is virtually identical to the other Whatnots.
Sonia Manzano was on Tavis Smiley's show last night to promote her new memoir, and share a lot of personal anecdotes of her childhood growing up in the Bronx and her early career endeavors.
The full interview is now available for viewing on the PBS website...
We have a thread for old Nickelodeon, yet we don't have one for old Cartoon Network, so that needs to be remedied.
Anyway, I was thinking back on the old Cartoon Cartoons, and it seems to me that out of all the original Cartoon Cartoons, only two of them were true flops: MIKE, LU & OG and SHEEP...
I find the inclusion of Catgut in this number - where Muppet dogs are serenading a photo of Lassie - to be a rather odd choice. Is there any specific reason why she was thrown in there seemingly randomly? Did they not have the Rover Joe puppet when they taped that episode that they could use?
At long last:

The Happy Birthday Song is now public domain!
SST has earned the respectable number one spot on WatchMojo's Top 10 list of the best educational shows:
Other notable spots on the list are given to such shows as ARTHUR, ZOBOOMAFOOS, READING RAINBOW, and another Henson show: SID THE SCIENCE KID.
I'm sure Drtooth's been to this site numerous times, but it was a site dedicating to preserving long-forgotten and obscure animated shows from yesteryears (had a lot of really old and rare Rocky and Bullwinkle audio and video clips), but . . . I notice it doesn't seem to exist anymore, it seems...
Here's a preview of an upcoming documentary PBS will be airing on Jim Henson later this month as part of their IN THEIR OWN WORDS series.

Now . . . why the frog do they keep having to shove NPH in our faces all the time?! Why? Aside from appearing on SST...
I found this blog of a little girl's visit to the SST set back in 1998: there's a few interesting shots including the old Monster Daycare clubhouse, Hooper's Store, and a couple of pics from the taping of "Telly Tut," including Joey taking a picture with the little visitor with one of the...
So last year, Tom Hanks and some other guy executive produced a documentary mini-series about the 1960s that aired on CNN (uh, isn't CNN supposed to be for news?).
This year, they've executive produced another documentary mini-series about the 1970s, and the debut episode deals with the...
Here's something that I can actually use to help put into perspective that I don't just complain about the heat and the summer season for no reason - this is for realsies:

May your day be filled with doughnuts, beaver tails, flannel shirts, hockey, Colin Mochrie, and all the other Canadian standards that make Canada so Canadian! :P
But seriously, have a good one!
Before I begin, I would like to stress once again that I am not and never was the creator of TKO - TKO was and always has been the creation of MrsPepper; the concept and premise is all hers, I merely helped adapt it into a series format, but all credit for creation goes to MrsPepper, not me...
You see these urban areas, where all the residences and the stores and everything are just left abandoned and nothing ever came in to redevelop the area, but imagine if SST was one of those kinds of areas. . . .
That third pic almost looks as if Cookie took a bite out of the roof...
No, not the son from Andy Griffith, apparently JHC has a kids show called HI, OPIE that is apparently being renewed for a second season that I didn't even know a first season existed, because even though it's airing on TV in Canada, it's apparently a Netflix-exclusive series in other...
Okay, you guys know I've struggled with weight almost my entire life.
For the past seven months, I've been trying really hard to really ramp things up to really push myself to the limits to try and shed poundage . . . one of the main reasons was because of my TECHNICOLOR DREAMS film I did back...
