    April Fools Feedback

It's amusing to think back on how so many people fell for my gag one year when I announced that I was no longer a fan of Kathy Greenwood... I must have been very convincing at first, because it seems like most everybody who looked at the thread fell for it at first. Since then, however, I was...

    The guilty pleasure thread!

I would certainly say that 13 GOING ON 30 is a guilty pleasure for me, because I KNOW it's a chick-flick, but somehow, I find it amusing and entertaining to watch. Not to mention I really like Mark Ruffalo as an actor.

The "I Saw Something REALLY Weird Today" Thread

During a recession, (quality) toilet paper is like gold.

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

I'll agree, I think at times his swearing could be toned down a notch, or five, but unfortunately, that's kind of the sign of the times, even on just regularly television: even though there's still certain words that aren't allowed on network television, there still seems to be a necessity for...

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

I just recently learned that Nostalgia Chick is actually from TN, I was not aware of that. She's kinda creeperz though, in an Angelina Jolie or Janeane Garfollo (or whatever her name is) sort of way.

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

I "get" his cynical and sarcastic sense of humor, but then again, I'm kind of a cynical and sarcastic person myself, so I guess that I find him to be so funny personally. Admittedly, the past year or so, his reviews really haven't been quite as funny as they used to be... I haven't seen of the...

Show That Have Overstayed Their Welcome

A laugh track DOESN'T tell you something is funny, or when to laugh, or anything like that, the laugh track recreates the ambience of watching a comedy with a group of people, rather than by yourself. And laugh tracks are still in use today, just rarely by themselves anymore (save for like...

Show That Have Overstayed Their Welcome

I had NO idea what the frog COMMUNITY was even about! Seriously, I watched an episode once when there was nothing else on with my dad, we sat there the whole time with confused and bemused looks on our faces, then when they went to commercial, we looked at each other and asked, "What did we just...

    April Fools Feedback

I think this deserves a thread of its own, so we can get some other opinions on the issue. April Fools Day threads have been a tradition here at MC since the beginning just about, some of them are rather clever and sometimes it's almost really easy to fall for them for those who have forgotten...

Show That Have Overstayed Their Welcome

Practically ALL "sitcoms" today are dreadfully dull and unfunny. I SWEAR, I had NO idea shows like GLEE, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, and SEX AND THE CITY, among others were actually "comedies", and you wouldn't be able to tell shows like THE OFFICE or PARKS AND RECREATIONS are sitcoms either... give...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

I have a suspicion that keywords aren't necessarily working. Just sayin'.

Show That Have Overstayed Their Welcome

Wasn't it kind of the point to make them look almost like actual Muppets as much as possible?

Who has a Deviant Art account?

Okay, yeah, this is EXACTLY what we need at this point... Trying to browse through people's galleries and folders and such, and to be interrupted with pop-up ads telling you to upgrade to a premium membership to remove the ads from the site. Maybe it's just me, since I've been trying so hard...

Show That Have Overstayed Their Welcome

It's cheaper in that it requires a lot less work from people that it would, say, Claymation or stop-motion, or even traditional hand-drawn animation, all of which requires a number of people sweating and toiling over the painstaking techniques.
