My actual complaint is why things aren't on DVD or hulu...
Now, on that subject, and this really steams me... ALF the animated series and ALF tales are both on hulu now, but ONLY if you get the premium membership. Is Lionsgate that desperate for money?
You don't have to buy the DVD, you can watch it on Hulu.
Personally, I tried to watch an episode a while back, but couldn't get back into it. I kinda wish they had Smurfs on Hulu... I still kinda dig Smurfs.
Hansel and Gretel are ascended extras, aren't they? They're basically fourth or fifth string gag characters that go an entire street story devoted to them (and Big Bird). And I have to admit, German stereotypes are always funny (what the heck is a Schnitzel anyway? Aside from the guy who goes...
One quick thing...
Anyone else find the Earth's Best commercial with the baby's head superimposed on a CGI body has gotten even more unsettling this season?
Fox's ownership of Star Wars is actually quite thin because they had no faith in the movie, and gave Lucas control of the merchandising and licensing. So Lucas would be the one to say yay or nay, and I doubt that would be the case, since Lucas has had a history of working with Henson and...
The E-mails and other character cameos were always great... mainly because it made you remember there were other characters on the show besides Elmo. And the cartoon segment was usually pretty good. Other than that, filler, filler, filler. Mr. Noodle, no matter who played him, always fell...
YES! YES to all of that! Well... except Angry Beavers... I really like that one. Good is extremely subjective. The point is, you have to watch a little bit of everything to get a good feel for it. And I hate the fact matter of taste dictates that a show is good or bad. There are many...
No, but Sesame Street also didn't start out with 3 or 4 cable channels of kiddy competition, leading to a Darwinian adapt or die state in the TV show. All Sesame Street had to go on back in 1969 was Ding Dong School and Mr. Rogers... and even then it had some similarities (which thankfully...
The thing that bugs me is, these parents clearly didn't get the memo that EW will still exist in repeats and will remain online. Not to mention how none of the DVD's are going away anytime soon (unless it's about availability from switching from Genius to WBHV). EW has been around since 1998...
Yeah. EW was something they painted themselves into a corner with. It seems to me it was popular with the wrong demographic, and it was pulling the show down to the pre-3 year old group that wouldn't get anything out of the show, thus making all the focuses on math, reading, natural sciences...
Actually...
know what really fixes this problem? Watch a lot of the EXACT same thing as much as possible over and over for a couple weeks. I got a crapload of Parappa the Rapper stuff in my recommendations that way, and it was all stuff I already watched, too. And NO Honey Dew Dews.
I wouldn't call them idiots either, but it's the same thing I said about amazon reviews. Misguided is the word. They feel that Sesame Street is a baby show, and SW wants to break free of that. The proof is getting rid of Elmo's World. And as I've been saying, that's a segment that works for...
They got rid of most of their live action programming. The reality stuff specifically, which no one liked wanted or even watched. It took them forever to get rid of "Dude, What would Happen," and when they did, there was much rejoicing. Other than Level Up (which something tells me, isn't...
Yeah, but they make movies look more and more like TV shows. Ever catch anything from Walden Media? How do they get anything made theatrically when 90% of their stuff looks like cheap cable movies from the 90's?
I'm probably the only one to say this, but I actually loved seeing Elmo act like a jerk. We rarely get to see that side of him, and almost never without the aid of Rocko. Making Elmo a completely infallible character does no service to anyone. Even he should have his bad side. It really sold...
I could care less if we get the DVD's this time... I just want to know the hold up. If its copyright problems, I want them to tell us who the offending copyright holder is so we can scowl at them If it's just a case of not wanting to release season sets, I think we at least want to know.
I...
Yeah. My question still stands... what about the people who always hated Elmo's World and wanted the 15 minutes to go back to the series? Not like they heard about our cries.
I dunno... it's very hard to think that anyone liked Elmo's World. That was dragging the show down and making it a...
Oh yeah. I like how Sitcoms became more like 30 minute films. Especially Raising Hope.. I'm kinda disappointed they had to sacrifice My Name is Earl for that, but it's become one of my favorite shows. Especially since it deals exclusively in consequences and owning up to them.
The only...
