If Disney are making the Muppetvision PVC's already then i guess they could have one of the merchanding companies attached to them make action figures, as they aren't covered by the Palisades license there's nothing stopping them.
I think Sprocket from Fraggle Rock, although he kinda did with MCC. Also both Groove and Iver from Hoobs - they are just like Fraiser and Niles Crane, hard to see where else they'd fit in though but it'd be cool if these characters could all appear together in a 50th anniversary special or...
There is a difference, with the U.S/UK at least once they'd got themselves together, the embedded reporters are only showing shots of the POW's IN TRANSIT - ie:- being moved, processed, looked after etc and most shots are now done from a distance. With Iraq they were waving a camera in front of...
Yo Ken,
Just got a mail shot in my email from Forbidden Planet Home Shopping (Sci-Fi Warehouse) in the UK. Seems they will be selling Tux Bunsen & Beaker at retail here. It says the set is limited to 1000 pieces worldwide and it comes with extra accessories. Is that true or slightly wacky...
Well my avatar has a political message, but it's a subliminal one. I'm gonna have the penguin run for president next year - vote for him !
:zany: < Commander In Chief !
Yeah Entertainment Rights, they are a HOT company with top people, more or less everything they have done has been successful - i would definitely trust the Muppets with them beyond a shadow of a doubt. Sadly out of the running it seems, there have also been rumors about HIT showing an...
I'm not insecure about it - remember, i told you i bought HOTPANTS ! It's a natural thing for some guys to feel insecure about though and as i said, majority of Muppet fans are older males who probably aren't attracted to a female pig either in puppet, figure or plush form unless there is some...
As i've said before, i don't see the non-classic Muppets automatically being part of a rights deal for 'The Muppets' characters. It just doesn't work that way in media - i think legally it's all divided into seperate brands. Just look at how tight the licensing has been for Palisades Muppets...
I agree there are some benefits of Disney owning either Henson or The Muppets, and while i don't like the sound of it i also see great potential for a Europe based 'Jim Henson Company' without the Muppets rights. The benefits with Disney are mostly financial, facilities, visibility and sheer...
I was talking about my credit card but being deliberately vague - that said any tips on medication will probably come in useful someday ... soon.
Anyway, way to go FB !!!!!
:zany: < imagine animated tossing asction
I devoted two paragraphs to say why i thought Disney wouldn't bother spending the money to finish up the Palisades license, it didn't happen with WCW/WWF. I didn't know then what Jamie said though about all the licenses being liquidated before the first Henson buyout - thats scary. I have a...
We are having this same discussion over at 'Ask Palisades' on the other forum right now. Personally i don't think MTI Piggy is a good choice at all - Biker or Nurse will be more popular. I like the MTI figures but i feel the movie license should be dipped in and out of to find the best...
Ah so the Disney stuff was a seperate license then. Hmmm
I was reading over at Palisades that their movie license didn't include the Muppet Babies from MTM either. That s*cks - although i'm not a big Babies fan, they deserved to make that stuff.
Yup, and Disney aren't very well going to put the Muppets infront of Mickey and Co either are they, we learn't that at the time the Disney/Henson films came out. Still, i'm sure there will be some good things coming out of it.
So FB - this is the gaming industry one ? So you'd be designing backgrounds and characters and things ?
Oh and yeah Kev, my living expenses far outweigh what actually comes in too - my flexible friend is finding it hard to stand up, it's a hard life being an international playboy (with...
How can they make Muppet PVC's if Palisades have the license ? I guess it is specific to the characters at the Disney parks or something. Anyway do they look any good ?
