Actually y'know - after Supergrover's post and going and looking back at what he achieved there, my mind is kinda swaying towards the Backstage Playset too now. Originally I had thought the Theatre, because the plans for it were pretty grand and i still think it (and the curtains, arches etc)...
Some of these properties are still pretty hot abroad - i hear the Smurfs are still doing well in France. ALF also is wildly popular and on prime time TV daily in Russia and Germany. I notice that loads of our old cartoons and TV shows, while we never hear of them are usually on daily in some...
This is the problem - Travellers Tales made decent Muppet games that could be played by Adults as well as kids. TDK Mediacktive have the idea that only kids want the Muppets, so we got the real kiddified 'On With The Show'. So i don't hold out much hope for this at all ......
Charity ? Yeah right ! Maybe they were a few hundred short of the asking price for Henson ! I guess desperate times call for desperate measures ........ :p
I like the idea of the early Batman series on DVD - over here in the UK you CAN get the Batman TV Movie on DVD with a commentary by Adam Ward & Burt West ...... not sure if you guys have that in R1 yet.
As for Simpsons, yeah here we actually get it at least 3 episodes a day over two channels...
I'd agree that the backstage is what's likely to be the next playset Ken is thinking off ---- but he is asking people to just choose the scene they most want if there wouldn't be any other playsets at all beyond this one. He listed Theatre in there, and so i guess if they wanted to do the...
I think it's already been said by Palisades that the new retailer will not be getting the S4 figures as early as the other stores - there'll be quite a delay !
MTI - Captain Smollet Kermit
MT - Johnny Fiama (although i would way prefer Dr Phil)
TMS - Naked Rowlf
TMS - Marvin Suggs or Emily Bear
Major Retail Exclusive - Sweetums
It is correct that most of the information is hard to find in the 'Ask Ken' topics, and the FAQ and Release List does a lot to help things. For people to really put their questions though the occasional live chat session would be GREAT with Ken and Mike. Whether it be here or at the Palisades...
The idea of this is that you are choosing the ONE playset to be made if only one more EVER gets made. You aren't supposed to take into account whether it'll be deluxe or non-deluxe and what it would be like if it was made later. You are just supposed to choose one from the list, as if it were...
Hi Guys,
Over at the Palisades forum we fans have been giving our thoughts on the Playset we feel the line would be incomplete without. Thought it might be interesting for us to do this here too seeing as not everybody gets to the other site, so here's a repost of what Ken said :-
So...
Interesting, i had heard about what's probably mentioned on the postcard but yeah, was not aware of them making anything else. I guess we'll have to see. It wouldn't surprise me though ...
Yeah i'd like them to make the sequel but the story ws never that strong. They go in the elevator to a spacestation i think and meet space monsters.
If they were going to recast the original i'd probably go for Robin Williams as Wonka - Carrey isn't gentle enough to do it. Gene Wilder is an...
If it helps any, i don't think your attraction to Rubber Chickens is anything to worry about. Just so long as you wear rubber gloves during the 'stuffing' process. Now Penguins ...... ya don't wanna interfere with one of them without a safety harness !
Seriously, complain and whine...
From what i gather he went from Laughing Place in late 2001 - i think he was dumped, at least there was some hullaballoo at the time i remember reading about. He had previously been fired by 'Mouseplanet' and has moved around many, many sites. In fact this wasn't even the first Muppet site he...
The thing with Jim Hill is that he grabs onto a tiny piece of info (be it news or just a rumor going around) that we all already know about - then uses it as an excuse for another one of his disasterous Muppet articles that expands into a long and usually ridiculous story of spin, rumor...
