It's actually better here at night, i guess when theres less net traffic. It was fine for ages, only started breaking up on rare occasions when the title java applet refreshed, so good news. It is a fantastic resource - great choice of songs, great quality - excellent stuff !
I did notice...
It's fantastic quality, but on my dial up connection over here on a 33.6kbps (yes i need to get a cable modem soon) the sound breaks up every 8 seconds or so. Maybe it's just that little bit slower internationally.
If it happens at all, pretty good. When the press reports broke about the original 'New Muppet Show' it was hinted that both major UK terrestrial broadcasters were interested - although it may well have just been spin.
I didn't get to have an audience, i was just at a function they were. One of my ancestors going hundreds and hundreds of years back is pretty famous and she was opening an exhibition at the same museum he is featured at so i got invited. I do have photos of them all and will get them...
Disney released MCC in Widescreen over here and MTI was in full screen so i guess their strategy is a little messed up but apparently they think we are more into 'widescreen' than you guys - but it does go to show that they don't have any kind of problem getting this Muppet stuff out on...
I don't think anyones saying people like Brian or John aren't doing the characters people are talking about - just that they aren't employed as puppeteers by Henson in the same way Steve or Bill are. Obviously Brian still has close links with JHC and has offices there, and John if he's free...
I thought the interior was a real theater that just got customised a bit, i didn't think it was a set in a movie studio because they went so wide with the shots. Thats what somebody told me anyway but maybe they were wrong. Exterior i guess the close up shots where they went in was a mocked up...
You don't think Eric could do Teeth ? If he and John can both do Fozzie and Piggy then how could their ranges be so different that he couldn't do Teeth ? I know you are right Warrick, i don't understand this puppetry schmoo much.
Daffyfan2003 :- The only characters with official performers...
1) I would imagine either his schedule was tight, they didn't need another puppeteer on set, or they just wanted to pay him as a voice actor and not a puppeteer.
2) Eric Jacobson can probably do Dr Teeth, his range is similar to John's and anyway, nothings to say John wouldn't be asked to do...
FYI now too - Kevin Clash is not Sam's performer, he just looped the voice for the movie, did not puppeteer - may be a one off as Frank wasn't available. AFAIK up until recently John Kennedy no longer does Dr Teeth and he's without an assigned regular performer.
I think it's the Muppet Theatre again - can't say that officially but it's what most people have heard since they announced the show. It would also fit in with the Weezer video, the Xmas Movie and also the UK McDonalds Ad's - the focus is very much on putting the Muppets back in the theater.
It did - today is saw Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, His Royal Highness Duke Of Edinburgh, the Prince Phillip, and His Royal Highness The Duke Of York, Prince Andrew - and i got to meet the Queen as close as i am to the computer now, she was cool, very smiley - just like your everyday granny...
