Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

Like I said, I’m gonna give a call in a few days just to make sure as the woman I was speaking to was unsure right from the beginning. Far as I’m concerned, if research is required, I highly doubt they’d care what it is as long as it serves a purpose. Doing it for muppet wiki seems fine enough.

Ah, that’s too bad. Would have been funny hearing Frank try to do Kermit’s voice.

Frank Oz performing Kermit? I now definitely hope we can see this clip on social media in the near future.

@datman24 i appreciate you seeing where my frustrations were coming from. At this point, what I’m going to plan to do is give them another call after a few days (just so I don’t come off as a pest) to make certain this is 100% true, because the truth is, right at the very beginning of the phone...

Ding-ding-ding, that’s what I was getting at, but I apologize if my wording threw you off as well. What I meant by being a DC citizen was it would be easier for locals to get in there. Again, making an expensive plane trip to go and watch 10-20 minutes of material ain’t worth it.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

At the very beginning of the article, it says “The Sesame Street collection will be available to view on-site at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C” This part I will admit also kind of threw me off a little. I wasn’t sure if “on-site” meant “on-location physically at the Library of...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

I noticed where it said that. However, you have to be a DC resident to actually watch them at the library of Congress. That’s what I was getting at. and fair, but again I’m taking this with a grain of salt for now. I’ll wait till I hear if other folks at Boston end up going there or not.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

So I just want to personally apologize for losing my cool yesterday. Truth be told, this month has just been pretty frustrating for me that I just needed to find myself something that I knew would be theraputic and enjoyable, and definitely worth the road trip none the less, even if it meant...

@datman24 that actually gave me a good laugh, thank you.

It’s not the first situation where I’ve dealt with something like this. I’ve just gotten used to it at this point.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

It just feels like clickbait honestly. The way the article is worded. But, whatever. I’ll be irritated with it for a few days and then move on (not like we’re gonna get anything more special in 2029 anyway)..... unlike some fans I know.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

In the end, if this is the way things are, so be it. I just wish the article had been more specific so as to avoid mis-understandings like this. Because I’m sure there are other folks out in Boston or nearby Massachusetts who read this and probably didn’t understand it clearly.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

This wouldn’t be frustrating to begin with if this was actually noted in the ******* article ON THEIR OWN ******* WEBSITE! So basically it was very mis-leading and got too many people’s hopes up. Thanks for screwing us over like always, Boston! This is why I absolutely hate your city and your...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

So, I honestly wasn’t sure where else to put this, but I just spoke to a woman at WGBH on the phone just in regards to setting up an appointment to watch an episode (I wasn’t sure if it cost money to actually set one up or not; also there are some episodes from seasons 27-29 I would like to...

Sesame Street Episode 847 with Margaret Hamilton

No I agree completely. I’m never someone who tries to take advantage of a once in a lifetime event that someone is going out of their way to kindly host for us. But unfortunately, there’s always going to be the bad apples that will do whatever they can to get their way.

Sesame Street Episode 847 with Margaret Hamilton

Short answer: while it’s not worth the risk of a ridiculous fine or consequence, whatever it may be, you can’t expect everyone to listen. That’s just how the human mentality works.
