I can't even blame the writers. I think there's more blame on the producers that are goading the writers to follow a curriculum that focuses on one major initiative. The fact that there were 2 and 3 "guessing game" type episodes and they are starting to follow strict episodic formulas bothers...
I don't see the problem if the characters themselves aren't CGI. 3-D? I see no rational complaints there either. It's an optional thing depending on what theater you go to. If they have a good enough script, I see no problems with this.
The thing is, the original movie is quite deep. It's...
There's internal problems I hear, but they JUST don't get the hint. Live action shows get poor ratings on their network and are ultimately canceled. And they're in such a good place right now with Regular Show and Adventure Time making a crapload of money and getting good ratings and being all...
If there's one thing that bugs me about the later episodes, it's how they switch to the Hebrew dub at random. The Do de Rubber Duck seems like some kid playing with the SAP function on his television. 8 Beautiful Notes has some structure to it, mostly dubbing in the counting. Too bad they...
The one where he draws up a treasure map and D.W. and Arthur find it before he can actually bury the thing. And Arthur's ticked because he keeps having to play checkers with him (gasp... a strategy based board game. Mental exercises! It's coming together) and he's always sleeping on the couch...
Two reasons...
"Original" usually translates to boring Oscar bait about two old people talking about their relationship (I hate "As Time Goes By," if that's any help) or something that happened in the past that severs as a loose allegory for something happening that we can't do anything about...
Actually, it was a long time coming. They were showing that Grampa Dave was in decline since the one where they go to his farm and he's too tired/goofs off too much to keep his farm up and is too proud to ask for help. Then the next episode to focus on him featured him constantly tired and...
Actually, I just checked out the last episode of the series... now I have respect for it, because...
The episode basically involved Lumpus discovering that he can paint a uniform on his body instead of wearing clothes, as he's sick of wasting time doing laundry. Everyone commends him on his...
I'm still kinda shocked this didn't happen sooner, though. It was pretty much Cookie Jar's last non-Flash show, and the animation here is much better than Doodlebops Road Show and Horray for Huckle. But not as good as it could be. That said, you can draw full animation and use flash to just...
Something like that. As many significant shorts per animator as they possibly can, all labeled with title cards that names them and names the animation in question.
Muppets are a significant part of Sesame Street, but we always forget the animators.
I heard they lost a bunch of viewers before that, constantly writing themselves into corners and getting gimmicky and incomprehensible and ticking the viewers off. That's why Dallas had that retcon that I guess drove everyone away.
But my point being, I never got the whole "You can't...
Eh... the movie doesn't really count for various reasons. The only Casper cartoon I know that dealt with ghosts being the thing you turn into when you die (also barring the 1990's cartoon based on the movie) was the one where he becomes friends with a Fox, and the fox becomes a ghost at the...
You know what I want to see? An "Animators of Sesame Street" DVD collection with as many of the animators/studios being represented as possible. Especially if they can call some back to do commentary on them.
I don't like the idea of a dog ripping and tearing a Muppet apart.
However, I think the Mr. Bill chew toys couldn't be a more perfect piece of merchandise that relates to the license.
I forgot about this thread and therefore forgot to tell you...
Ren and Stimpy, unfortunately, are Target Exclusives and they just got them in, and I swear they're trying to clear them out. And not even in every Target either. In 4 Targets I frequent, only 2 of them had them. But they have a...
It's Carols Alazraqui Same guy who did Rocko. But Tom Kenny was the Scout Master. I believe everyone present for Rocko's Modern Life but Charles Adler was in Camp Lazlo.
Too bad they didn't have half the writers... but then again, Steven Hillenburg had Spongebob (and just left it, actually)...
I saw them there too. A year ago, and I never managed to grab them. Now All I see are the Count/Elmo and Rosita/Abby sets. Sometimes and Ernie and Bert, sometimes the one I already have (Telly/Cookie). It must be a regional distribution thing.
