Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
It could be possible they are holding off on that footage. Perhaps if the video showed production on a season four episode, for example, they would wait for the season four box set.
Just a guess...
I was curious about that too. Not only does it show an early Gobo puppet, but it seems they have used an early Boober as well. Plus no Mokey!
Hopefully, there will be a revision to this and more bonus features will be added. It seems a bit light to me...
:(
Great to hear!
Even though Fox is distributing, I hope HIT will still make the decisions on packaging, bonus features, disc art, etc.
They did such a great job on Season 1.
The customer service reps at HIT are now sending out this e-mail response:
"Thank you for contacting us. Look for Fraggle Rock Season 2 DVD Box Set this September.
Thank you for your interest in HIT Entertainment."
Nice to know it's now being acknowledged from that department. :)
Animation writer/historian Earl Kress writes about his passion for puppets, and his experience with the Muppets on his web blog. Enjoy!

Why such a terrible picture?
I wonder why the video quality is so bad on these UK discs. The US discs have all had astounding picture quality (for videotape).
Hi all,
A very insightful behind-the-scenes look at the Kermit commercial is available online:

Wonderful news!
If the care and attention-to-detail that HIT put into the Season One set is any indication, this should be a fantastic release!
Can't wait!!
Would anyone who has discovered the 5th episode please kindly inform others how to get to it?
The "Wembley Head" icon has, I think, been found but it only serves as a shortcut to the Fraggle Challenge episode ("Junior Faces the Music.")
Is there a 5th episode on this disk or not?
Thanks :)
I spoke with HIT Consumer Services, and they have some details:
Episodes are "Boober's Dream," "Wembley's Egg," and "Red's Blue Dragon."
Bonus features include Fraggle Challenge, which should unlock a fourth bonus episode. Not sure of other bonus features, but at least one animated...
Everyone, please write a letter and/or call to request Season Two! Let's make sure HIT has no doubts about these season box sets.

Yes everyone, please keep HIT informed as to your desire to see future seasons!
A nice thank-you note for Season One (along with a plea for Season Two) sent to HIT would do wonders:

Wow! What a fantastic collection!
It would be really nice if we all took a few minutes to either write a brief letter or telephone HIT (or both) to thank them for taking the time and effort to produce such a superior product.
And, also, to encourage them to continue with Season 2...
Hi King Prawn,
Is the Behind-the-Scenes documentary (the 1987 one narrated by Jim Henson) complete and uncut? When introducing the puppeteers Jim mentions their previous "Muppet" work, or that they worked on "The Muppet Show".
With the ridiculousness of copyrights these days, I'm not sure...
