Yep, I used to watch all of those. Chorlton and the Wheelies & The Flumps were very slightly before my time tho but I used to watch the repeats. I loved Wind in the Willows and still do.

I dunno, maybe that's what it is. I am only going by other people's photos so far tho, I'm still waiting for my Gonzo. The suit looks great on it's own merits but just doesn't quite look right on the little blue guy. Or not, at least, when compared to him wearing other outfits.

I am getting more and more convinced by the photos I see on here that Gonzo looks much better when he's wearing clothing other than the maroon suit. I love the suit but it still doesn't seem to suit the style of the replica as much as a lumberjack shirt and tank top.

On the UK version, Gobo's "Woweeee" was cut short to make it fit the puppeteering. I never understood why the US version wasn't.

But do you remember the later seasons when The Captain dies and his nephew takes over the lighthouse? I still remember the very last episode after Gobo and the Fraggles have befriended The Hairy Monster, they go to Outer Space to visit him but they are confronted with computers that do the same...

Piggy had a brief bit on Bruce Forsythe's birthday TV special on BBC1 in the UK over the weekend and I must say, the new Piggy puppet looks so much better than the one they were using on other recent appearances. Even her hair seems to resemble how it looked during The Muppet Show years.

Just out of interest, why are you certain they won't be released in the UK? There have already been several compilation DVDs released which feature the Captain, played by Fulton Mackay, in the lighthouse.
