You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

That's what I brought up at TV Tropes, since they're the ones who say he's Ambiguously Gay (Filburt too, but he's married to Dr. Hutchison).

I'm sorry, but that Count looks scary as frog!

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

So, what's the deal with hanging homosexual labels on cartoon characters these days? Granted, I remember when David Ogden Stiers came out several years ago, he said it was fairly easy to voice characters, such as Cogsworth, not only because Disney is a (relatively) gay-friendly studio, but...

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Said the guy who said my 5-year retrospective years ago was "too long." :P

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Looks like I'm pretty much halfway through the book now, lol. After reading Muppet Mania, there's just one little thing... maybe I overlooked it or something, but wasn't CBS (the actual network, not the CBS O&O stations) actually on board with TMS at one point before the deal with Lord Grade...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

The only time I find myself getting logged out when I don't actually log myself out are occasions when I close my browser. It's not everytime I close my browser, but half the time, yes. Of course, part of it is because I can't click the "Remember Me" option, because if I do, then, if I do...

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Just finished The Mucking Fuppets character, and I have to say, I experienced something really odd: reading about David Lazer, him working for IBM, and being a native of NYC didn't register with me, because in watching HENSON'S PLACE, I rememberd Lazer speaking with a British accent; so saying...

Your Thoughts on Madonna saying the "N-Word"

Sarah Palin's kind of the same way: just when you think you're finally getting a break from her, she thrusts herself back into the spotlight.

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Maybe it's just me, but reading through the Big Ideas and The Mucking Fuppets chapters, it seems as if the Hensons went on more vacations than the Obamas. Just reading about how busy and hectic Jim's work schedule became in the mid-70s, it's a wonder he was able to find the time to go on...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

I don't know what they've done now, but for some reason, videos you watch are no longer being stored in your Watch History... and oddly enough, they're not even showing up in your browser history either... how is that even possible? If I want to watch a certain video again later, I have to...

I've never even heard that phrase before; must be a generation thing.

    Michael Sporn passes away

Aw man, that's sad. He did some pretty great work outside of SST too: he did an HBO special called WHITE WASH, about a little black girl who goes into hiding after she's attacked by a gang of white street toughs, who paint her face white, and he also animated all of the flashback sequences in...

A breakdown of the Jim Henson Company timeline

I still don't believe people are grasping how, exactly, these fandom timelines work.

    HEH! Work It's been Canceled!

I honestly didn't know ALICE was based on a movie, but then again, I never really ever got to see ALICE.

Muppets spitting, drinking from straws, and blowing out candles

A couple of SST examples I can think of are from Episode 276, and Elmo Saves Christmas: in Episode 276, Ernie drink both his and Bert's sodas through a straw; similarly, Elmo does the same with a glass of water he wished for because he was thirsty.
