I've seen a few other segments for #1 that have been shown in the more recent episodes:
1) the "brown people dogs" (Fay, Vatty, ect.) build a #1 out of log pieces.
2)a bunch of kids all chant over and over "were #1!, Were #1!" (live)
Both of these are found on # 4013
I do remember the one with the holes. But the guy playing Julius called himself "Cristopher Clumsey" for some reason. (probably an earlier version)
There is also another one with a "bigger" Julius (without the hat) where he is trying to tell us about the letter X. He says how "X is a very...
Alphaquest song
"Doors, up and down the hall
Wonder what's behind them all?
Doors that lead to anywhere;
Got to ABC whats there!"
"Got to ABC Decide
where's a door I havn't tried?
ABCD East to West;
Going on an Alphaquest!!!!!!!!!
Bring back any memories? ;)
name of song
I don't know if this is "officially" the name, but I believe it to be (excuse my spelling) "Hase Calore" (pronounsed Ha-say cal-oar). The words to the chorus go as follows:
"Hase calore; hase calore
could fry an egg on the cement,
it's so "caliente"!
"Hase calore, Mucho...
possible answer
Here's my answer in a nut shell: Back in the days when it first came out, they used to focus not on just one, but two (sometimes more) letters and numbers in each episode. They also used to focus more on showing kids how to say and use them by showing clips and skits that...
I don't get noggin or sprout either (or even any of the "on demand" channels, for that matter). But what I think really stinks is that, by the time I find out these channels even exist, the material I'm looking for has usually been canceled -sometimes for over a year! I don't care who does it...
Why not just give him a spin-off of his own?
:sympathy: I'm kind of new here, and, if you have read any of my early posts, you might think of me as a genuine Elmo-basher. But that's actualy far from the truth. Although I may not be his #1 fan, believe it or not, I totally agree with you as...
How to find episode numbers
The way that I have been able to find Episode numbers, and match them to the schedule that pbskids.org lists, is by going to sesame workshop and clicking on the "View and Do" section. Here they give a list of programs. Click on Sesame Street and you will get a...
Here, Here!"
:boo: I totally agree! If they are going to show such a classic thing as "The 1-10, 10-1 number song", and actually use part of the original tune, then 1) I think they owe it to the person who originally wrote it enough to at least play the whole song, and 2) I think they owe...
Mr. Looper ("That's HOOPER, Big Bird, HOOPER!")
Mr.Hooper, (played by Will Lee), was, and still is, a true icon of Sesame Street. He didn't have to do much acting, because the person you saw on the screen was pretty much who he was off the screen. He loved kids. If you watch the "This is the...
You mean the one that shows the giant electric magnet on the end of a crane as it picks up old car parts and such in a junk yard? If that is what your refering to, yes! (I also recal one with a wrecking ball and it seems that, somehow or another they were centered around 2 boys eating ice cream.)
Thats O.K. Without diversity, this world would be a pretty boring place! ;) It does strike me as funny, though, that you would happen to be the second person I have met on line who has made their opening statement to me in this manner. Is it simply me, personaly, or is this really just a popular...
:) thanks so much for clarifying that! I knew that something was not quite right about the way I was remembering this, and your right about the jellybeans! I had totally forgot about that. ( with help from great people like you, I just might beat this "S.S. Alzheimers" yet! ) ;)
I was just about to start a thread for good old Herry when I found this one. I love that lovable guy! I remember him most from that skit where he helps kermit by standing behind an x-ray machine so kermit can make a presentation about how the human (and monster) body looks inside. He was great...
I'm with Bear on this one. I have seen more than 3 JTE's in the new version format, possibly some from last season, but I agree they are all getting old fast. It would really be refreshing to see some new scripts written for this, rather than just seeing re-run after re-run.
I'm with Bear on this one. I have seen more than just 3 of them, (some possibly from last season?), but the ones they have are getting old. It would be really refreshing to see some new versions created, rather than just running the few that they have over and over again. :)
Why my opening thread was a bit out of line.
Dear forum members,
please forgive me if my opening article in this thread offended any of you. That was not my intention by any means. Bear's first response did make me accutely aware that I was going a bit overboard by pushing my personal feelings...
Thats funny that you would happen to mention the movie "Jingle all the way".
As I was writing the previous post, I was thinking of the exact same thing! :)
