I wonder if the Muppet Holding Company and Disney are aware the Classic Muppets are swearing. I know the scripts had to be reviewed but have a feeling they don't, lol.
I do agree that some Muppets (even USA ones) could do with being a little bigger, but really it's just cameramen with no experience of shooting puppets are always shooting them too wide or too low - like they're no different to humans. Kermit should have been shot higher and closer up in some...
I think in some places the cameramen really needed to shoot the puppets higher, but its early days yet. I did feel some of the talk segments and the music segments went on way too long - thats one thing Muppets Tonight got right, the segments were fairly short and snappy.
Interesting to see...

I think it looks good, maybe a bit too simple (like all the Muppets dancing in the background) and cheesy but overall, very good. The puppets are being used very...
Yeah i think if things would have continued with the Hensons owning the Muppets, and some kind of TV Movie/TV Series deal with NBC, and a merchandising deal with HIT, things would be a heck of a lot better than right now.
The Haunted House isn't a bad idea, but i don't think its strong enough right now. They'd need to focus on the monsters as you say, and i wasn't impressed with how they made monsters from Kermit, Piggy and the others in the playstation game. I don't think it'd be funny enough, or give the...
Muppets Haunted House was also a movie in the works, written originally i think by Greg The Bunny's creator. Seems very Disney'ish but they'd probably water it down. Maybe good as a TV seasonal special.
Yeah this idea has been around for years and years. It does kinda seem the most appropriate for a Muppet movie right now though if they are trying to get the whole classic feel back.
Yeah just wierd they would have gone to all the trouble of using her, unless some of the backing was just earlier stuff re-used. Whatever the case i'm glad they are going back and keeping people like Karen, Mike and Louise on the roster!
So they must have brought Louise Gold to the states for this project then, insteresting.
I've heard it - it's pretty good - in fact it's marvellous that they've actually got something like this commisioned and put out in the current climate - but it could have done with maybe a few more...
The puppets look cool and the show looks cool. Lets hope they are testing the waters, but testing the waters in France is probably not the right market to be testing em in .. but hey, least they dipped their toes!!! lol
Actually i don't get this, because as people have said, they could have made so much more out of this by making an English version and then selling it overseas. Wierd! Only thing i think can be said here is that right now, Disney must have absolutely no intentions whatsoever of reviving the...
I think the Gonzo head looks pretty amazing, and it looks like they're bang on with all the colors and everything. I'm really looking forward to seeing the full body Gonzo. The basic look of Animal is there with that early prototype, it'll be interesting to see how he progresses as they move...
This is really great news - i think they will get all the main puppeteers back (with Jerry looping i guess if he can't puppeteer) as you can't really go for the nostalgia factor if the characters sound different. I doubt if they'll use Gerry Parkes as Doc but you never know - and it'd be...
I think its only as far as the actual idea of doing it, they are obviously looking for a deal for it i guess. So whether its happening or not would depend on if they can get a deal.
