The only thing I didn't like about the trailer , besides the fact that they're STILL cramming Animal down our throats at the beginning, is the fact that they're REALLY saying that this is a sequel, which is something virtually unheard of in Muppet movies.

Well, I think that The Simpsons has much more potential for one of these Sims-esque games than The Muppets do. The Simpsons has a large cast of recognizable characters (whereas the Muppets, where you get 10-15 main characters and the rest are obscure and backround characters), and many locations...
