Mr. Hooper's death
From what I understand and have read, when Will Lee (Mr. Hooper) passed away it was unexpected. They probably still had alot of episodes with Mr. Hooper still in them that hadn't been shown yet, and now they had the controversial issue over weather to actually "tell" the...
Dont take my word as doctrine.........
I hate it when someone sounds so dissapointed! Please don't take what I had to say and concider it absolute fact. I've never been to New York City so, for all I know there actually could be such a place. I was simply going by the fact that 1) it looked...
To answer your question
In answer to your question, bedbug, yes I do! I have 2 kids and, even though I may be 38, I still dance and sing with my kids when we watch SS! It brings me a satisfying feeling of being young, not to mention the fact that its just plain fun! :p
Come on, people! Who...
O.k. guys ...........
Alright people,
With that last note now being made, I suggest we start focusing in getting this thread back on track before it gets killed. I'll start.
One of the most famouse SS muppet skits ever made had to be "Mahnu Mahnu". But, to my knowledge, its one of least...
I noticed the same thing
I have a funny feeling they are going to try to "spread out" the new episodes so that it seems they cover a longer time frame and keep people watching. For PBS, the more people there are watching their shows at one time, the better. I have a feeling that if they showed...
"No 2 people are exactly the same"
Everybody is different in the way they put things, and I'm no exception. I, myself, like to make my posts a bit more interesting than simply stating facts. Even Phil Chapman discourages short, boring post of things like "Yah, me to" and "No, I don't agree"...
I do!
Diabetes runs in both sides of my family, so I am constantly at risk of developing it, especially as I get older. So this last week I bought a bag of Splenda and tried it on a bowl of peaches with milk (instead of cream). All in all I was very impressed with the taste!!
"Shoo fly, don't bother me......."
Man! I think I'm starting to hear the buzz of one of those pesky "Intimidation Flys" again! Mabey I should go get my swatter..........
Sorry.....
Sorry for the foopa. You are indeed correct. I would have got up and checked to make sure, butt (pun intended) unfortunately I had to get a gamma shot in my dari-air this morning and decided I'd rather take the chance of being corrected than go through the pain of getting up to check.
Baby Bear
Actually he used to have hair all over. The way he looks today, (compared to how he used to look), makes him look like he's become one of the latest casualties of early-age hair loss! (How em-bear-asing!) :o
Baby Bear & HarryA
If you happen to watch the video or DVD of "Learning the Alphabet" you will notice that the first muppet of Baby Bear was much more furry and also had a lower and gruffer voice.
And I just saw a very early version of Harry Monster, and did you know the early version of...
Big Birds lack of feathers
I have just started watching some of the earlier episodes I've been able to get copies of, and my kids watch them also, and love them! I will say, though, that seeing Big Bird the way he was in episode 1 (compared to the way he looks today), was a little confusing for...
"It's allright to cry"
Hey Nick,
Remember the SS song "It's allright to cry"? Take it to heart, my friend. I know what it's like to go through times like this, as you are well aware, and I found that the healing part was never realy able to begin untill I finally got the courage to let down my...
As much as I dislike the SS of today...........
Even though I may not really like the way SS is portraying itself today, there may still be a positive side to all that we are having to put up with here. I read in the Sesame Workshop news a while back that they were in the process of transfering...
Dont let them get you down!
I don't know what it is with a few of the "senior members" (as well as one or two "lower" members) in this forum, but I know just how you feel, bedbug! When I first joined, I got slam-basted the same way you just did. By the time I got through reading the first...
Location or Episode?
If you mean which episode is it on, you can find it on #4100. If you mean where is it actually located, I think it was built off the shores of Manhatten, and I think they created it simply to record the song and sketch. I dont think it is something that actually exists...
Some more "Oldies but Goodies"
1)The one where kermit is demonstrating the difference between "short" and "Tall". This was an early one, one of the first, and the 2 creatures which were helping him were black piles of fur sitting on "the wall". Each was identical except that one had a long neck...
Harry and the twiddlebugs
I'm pretty sure it was a Sherlock Hemlock case. You can find the whole scenario of it in the "Tribute to Sherlock" thread. Tell me if thats the one your thinking of.
"sign here"
We had to learn sign language at my house when we discovered my first child was deaf. He had been born at the age of 23 weeks, and they gave him a special test before he came home which declaired him completely deaf in both ears. I can give Linda the credit for the little bit of...
