If you've recently been checking your closet for Fraggle holes (and in my case, a lantern post)- you might be an obsessed Muppet fan. (In my case, it was also an obsessed Chronicles of Narnia fan):)
Sorry, dude- I just saw this thread now. I would've voted for "Green Lantern" from among those choices though.
Of course, beyond that, I'm looking forward to the tons of other superhero movies coming in 2011. (Oh yeah, and "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" looks cool too- I'm sure...
WHOA! I just saw the signature in minor muppetz' post! YES! That's sort of an answer right there to one of my requests (though I'd still love to see Kermit show up again on Sesame Street with The Muppet Show gang making a special appearance. I mean, the Sesame Street gang has been on The Muppet...
Wow- didn't realize Blake Edwards was married to Julie Andrews. I suppose he'll always be best known for the Pink Panther films, but he also did some well known movies like "10" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" - and apparently also "Victor/Victoria", which, what do you know? starred Julie Andrews...
Well, I didn't mention "Yogi's First Christmas" because I thought it was a great Christmas special. I've got it on VHS and it was just recently released to DVD through WBshop.com
But I love all those Hanna Barbera cartoons- "Yogi Bear's All Star Comedy Christmas Caper" was just released on DVD...
Well, Kermit is as much the mascot for "The Muppet Show" Muppets as much as Elmo has become the mascot for "Sesame Street" Muppets (though I still hold to Big Bird for that position.)
This logo isn't totally horrible, but I do like the original font from "The Muppet Show" title better. But it...
Hahaha- some of the choices on here are just funny. Maybe it's because I love a lot of the movies that everyone else tends to hate on (I'm talking stuff like "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace" and "Supergirl" and "The Garbage Pail Kids Movie", etc.:D)- but I find the whole "We Wish You a Turtle...
I must agree that it is much fun introducing my nephews and nieces to the Muppets and Sesame Street. Of course, at the same time, if they like it, that's cool- but I'm going to force them to watch something they're not interested in. lol (but that doesn't happen too often)
When and if I...
Hahaha- good thing to note.:)
And I agree with you.
Wow- nice to see this thread revived. Thanks for the other contributions.
I don't know if Kermit's ever done the number and letter sponsors, but he has done segments introducing kids to a letter of the alphabet- he had a few where he would...
Sure, because they want to reinvent everything and expect you to forget that a lot of other movies preceded it. And since this movie is being definitively called the name of the TV show it's based on or whatever, it's automatically referred to over any other previous movie because few people...
Well, there have already been a lot of great ideas here, so I will just chime in for a little bit here. I definitely agree with talk show appearances for the Muppets- it would be especially great for them to take over the Today show or a late night show or both.
I would also love to see The...
Very cool to see "The Christmas Toy" being aired again! And yes, I certainly hope Kermit's appearance is included. It'd be great to see some other rare Christmas specials get aired, particularly those not on DVD (or not on DVD in unedited form) like "A Muppet Family Christmas" and "John Denver...
I'm really not positive but I'm thinking the first episode of Fraggle Rock I saw may well have been "Beginnings".
I remember because the 1983 World Series was going on at the time and it was in the 8th. inning of the final game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Philadelphia Phillies when...
Very nice, vettech28! I love how The Muppet Show gang is all here with the Sesame Street gang, the Fraggle Rock gang and even the Emmett Otter's Jug-Band Christmas gang!
This has been fun reading so far. It feels like an expanded version of "A Muppet Family Christmas".:)
I particularly like...
Nice to see an official synopsis for this new Muppets movie.
And I guess I should preface this with saying that I generally believe in giving everything the benefit of the doubt and not prejudging it, and I don't intend to do that with this movie.
Unless it's drastically out of character and...
Hey,
I just found this cool promo for the premiere of Fraggle Rock on HBO back in 1983.

:excited::smirk::coy:
Cool! A real live Fraggle Rock! I'm okay with Marjory the Trash Heap and Philo and Gunge and the Doozers- but I don't think I want to meet any real life Gorgs- unless they're on the same level that Ma, Pa and Junior were- their bark was generally worse than their bite.:excited::coy::busy:
