The Happy Birthday Song is now public domain!
That bothers me too. They keep going to great lengths to hide and remove all of the imperfections that you kind of lose a sense of the warmth and familiarity of the characters. So we used to could see rods before, so what? As long as the characters are in capable hands (no pun intended) and have...
If THE MIDDLE is Patricia Heaton's show, then yeah, I think it is mockumentary, unless they changed it. Or I dreamed it. Or some combination of the two.
Again, that's my problem: practically every single-camera sitcom on television since THE OFFICE has been in the mockumentary style, as if its an industry standard now; and Disney brought in writers/producers from THE OFFICE and MODERN FAMILY, so of course they're going to try to make THE MUPPETS...
Oh, and another example of adult language being used in a Henson production? THE CUBE had both "#377" and "d @ m n" heard throughout, and this was still a year or two before you were really allowed to swear on network TV.
Kermit hasn't really been that much of the 'leader" of the group since Jim's passing: back in those days, Jim was the glue that held his company together, and in a sense, Kermit was the glue that held the mUppets together. Since then, the other performers have stepped ip to the plate in an...
Um, you do know that when Jim taped his pitch reel for TMS, he ended it with Kermit walking into frame, facing the camera, and saying, "What the #377 was that?!" Right?
Again, is it not occuring to any of you that SST may not air on HBO's parent channel, but rather, HBO Family?
Also again, the way everybody keeps talking about, "how can people watch SST on HBO when not everybody has HBO?" That's what I've been saying about Netflix all this time: what's the...
The one thing that Caroll himself has said is that he intends to keep doing it until he physically can no longer hold Big Bird's head up.
However, it seems from the little bit of behind-the-scenes footage we've gotten of Season 46 thus far is that Caroll is apparently just sitting off to the...
So the fact that my post in this thread was deleted for being inappropriate seems to kind of help make my point: do we really want somebody like Alyssa Milano to be a spokesperson for a pre-school channel?
I'd favorite these, but they'll just pull them off in another couple of weeks anyway . . . and what's the point of that? Why post videos that you're just going to delete afterwards anyway?
Wow. Glad I'm not where you are.
The first week of September, as I've already mentioned, was definitely unseasonably hot, and it seems like this is starting to become an every year thing now. Luckily, it's gotten more seasonable since then, though we've had a couple of teases so far where the...
Both the Swedish Chef's segment and the interview with Kermit and Piggy were terrific. True to fashion, Piggy not only made attempts to try and hog (no pun intended) the stage from Kermit, but I also loved her bored act when Jimmy got Kermit to talk about Denise. Kermit and Piggy's...
My concern is that while the Muppets always had a level of adult humor to many of their shows and movies is that with this show, the adult humor will be less subtle and sophisticated as its been in the past and more forced and overdone in an attempt to appeal to audiences, since almost all shows...
You ever notice that it seems like every week, DirecTV is in the news for dropping this channel and that channel, including local affiliates? It makes me wonder how DirecTV can be such a great alternative to cable if they don't even have anything to watch?
Again, I like to think I know what the Muppets are . . . or were . . . and I don't think they were about bringing in outside people from other shows to try and write a Muppet show but make it like their other shows. That's still something Disney can't seem to get past.
