There are also DVD's of the two ALF cartoon series, thought i'd mention that. The DVD's of the sitcom are all the syndicated versions - the actual original broadcast episodes had a few minutes extra footage. Unfortunately some funny lines and moments were cut from the DVD's but the episodes...
I'm loving the videos, and the viral campaign idea. Reaches out to exactly the right people, though not sure if doing musical numbers will catch on enough, maybe if they added links to Muppets.com so people could see the sketches. The Chef video was brilliant.
Can also confirm Sunday August 3rd, 8pm ET/PT. If you go to Disney Channels press site and view any of the picture captions they've now changed it to the new date, and also put it in the programming schedule area. They are still listing the Cheetah Girls as appearing tho...
The Muppet Studios number and office location has changed since from when it was the number put here. I left a message for someone at Disney Press who is supposedly getting back to me but the time difference here makes it hard.
Great info Frogboy, hope that anonymous source is all correct...
And in honor of Dave, i will now sing Happy Birthday while attempting the world record for Hula Hooping with a flaming Hoop. No, i won't ..... but Happy Birthday the great Mr Goelz!
There are two specials of "DC-Almost Live" scheduled to happen according to the TV Guide article so it sounds like that. Good catch DW!
These specials seem to use an element of the TMS/MT variety show format, it's great as specials and good to have the Muppets around their big stars but i'm...
Great idea, either in shorts before other Pixar movies or maybe for a shorts DVD. I saw the toys today, the figures and the robot - really cool and well done.
I did feel they ripped off Short Circuit a lot, the googly eyes, the building himself from spare parts bit, the way he looked at the...
OMG OMG - just saw this and beautiful classic film, lovely animation, lovely storytelling. A little different to what kids are used to, but interesting enough visually and with story quirks to hopefully keep them interested. The use of Hello Dolly excerpts was genius too - gives a whole flavor...
If it was originally in listings as Studio DC and now its not, it won't just be bumpers wrapping around the shows, it will be a full special. It sounds very much like postponed to me, especially with the lack of promotion.
I am really loving the new Bert and Ernie animated, the intros really good and the voicework is excellent. I would have thought the stories were a little complicated for pre-school but seems not, so thats brilliant! They are going to be showing it on Channel FIVE here early mornings in the UK...
The TV guides and things are written well in advance - maybe they did change the date. It'd make sense as its not advertised on the channels or websites.
I think its great, it's not as good as a sitcom episode but its a great movie in itself and showed ALF could work without the Tanners. The DVD has a commentary on it.
Actually the dark hair aint bad, maybe they should have her like that for a while to get a bit of attention. I guess it would put all the merchandising programs outs of wack tho!
So anyway guys, just to drop a subtle hint Piggy style - SOMEONE UPLOAD THIS AS SOON AS IT AIRS FOR US UK'ers...
OMG - the Pigs gone brunnette! lol
It makes me feel good they are doing some promotion for this then and having fairly lesser known characters around their stars.
dude, this was 2002 - probably better to start off a new thread with anything you have if the existing threads are years old!
However, that is a great DVD!
I agree with you totally, the color of Scooter and the colors on his Jacket, he would just pop in any display. I don't neccasarily think he would have limited appeal to the people buying these already - to spend a few hundred bucks on the past Muppet posers i'm willing to bet you would have to...
