Sneak peeks on fan websites? I think thats us! lol! It sounds fantastic, especially the wrap party and last day stuff, and of course the new Red short.
Different target audience, Fraggle for everything it also is, was always meant to be suitable for pre-school as well and i can't see that changing. I don't know if you have ever seen Henson show "The Hoobs" but it was very similar to Fraggle in some ways (created by the Fraggles co-creater...
I didn't post the details at the time because it was just an idea i was mulling over with a few people, using Muppet character voices - and t was a funny idea, but possibly some people wouldn't find it in the Muppety spirit. It would be an easier thing to do now, possibly as a little thing for...
Congrats Grant, sounds likes a nice appearance. Any idea why they have just built Red at the moment, or if they have built all main Fraggles why they aren't using the others. Is it so as not to reveal the full group until the movie or some other reason.
From their initial comments i see them including and making a great deal of all the story, character relationships, and hopefully atmosphere of the Fraggle series, with some overall message but i see it a lot less preachy and a lot more in the style of a Muppet movie. I know a lot of hardcores...
The rock parts still had a bit of a mysterious and magical atmosphere to them tho, that wasn't a major thing to you? The character relationships were really important, i thought there were elements of humor about it, little comments, asides or skits that were funny, but it really didn't come...
All the core ones definitely, and even if there were any background ones still in a display condition they'd still be remade if they were gonna be in a movie.
I agree that would be a good way to utilise them., and if it was just quick scenes where they just got chased or something they could even just re-use Richards audio for Junior.
I don't think a story where both Gorgs and Fraggles in "outer space" against each other would have worked, and from...
LOL at the momentary outburst. Second to latest Henson podcast. Grant asks him if there will be Gorgs, he's like ummmm ummmm well, we are trying to fit them in somewhere. I am guessing this is because if the majority of the story is happening in the "real world" they would be building the...
Yeah i don't think they will localise content again for this, too much bother for them to do it and it would cause a lot of problems in distribution for a movie. I either see them using the old USA idea with some kind of well known actor playing a part (maybe not even calling them Doc, Captain...
I agree, Doc did have a good chemistry with Sprocket, probably better than the Captain in that sense. I just thought the more darker Captain and especially the lighthouse setting was more suitable to the whole Fraggle "ROCK" concept than a humourous Doc - its supposed to be Sprocket doing the...
There wasn't really a main "Doc", the show aired at exactly the same time everywhere just with the doc segments changed ... that was the whole point of the show, it could be made suitable for all countries by localising those segments. The audience for Fraggle was split mainly between UK and...
Have you read his blog or heard that audio podcast with him? It's just yes he does want to please Fraggle fans and wants to include lots of fan nuggets (well ok, a quick gorg glimpse, music, and what he will do with doozers) but he's also made it pretty clear it won't be the same and they will...
I saw your blog ...you're mad (in a good way) lol! Actually you remind me of Yeardley Smith (lisa simpson).
I've been watching Fraggle clips on Youtube, hadn't seen it for a long time. Reminds me how much i think the USA Doc is so inferior to the UK lighthouse keeper. You guys over the...
Regarding the classic characters being used, i think its for the best really as there will be a lot of people touched by Disneys mass marketing that probably haven't seen anything "Muppet" since MCC/MTI so they wouldn't know what Muppets Tonight was. Also with Sal being Brian Henson and...
They were VERY lucky getting that license before the movie was properly greenlighted weren't they? lol. I bet they're attitude will change about the potential market for these, probably wouldn't even need the blind boxing at all now.
Its happening a lot lately when i access MCR, it plays the advert at the start and then goes silent, yet the song titles are showing and changing. Any idea why?
