Keep in mind that's kind of the dynamic Jim had in mind for the characters that they were more or less a troupe of actors that just happen to be puppets, so in a sense they can work in either context.
Kermit seems prone to moodiness from time to time, even back in the days when Jim was still with us . . . however, somehow a moody, sadsack Kermit isn't quite the same; recently watching HEY, CINDERELLA!, one of the problems I had with the special was that Kermit was depicted as something of an...
I can't believe after all these years I still remember this song:
Does anyone remember at one point that same year they had a new version of Rice Krispies that was like all different colors? I saw this past Christmas they did something similar where they had Christmas Krispies that were red...
Here's another one that shows what bawls CN had:
It's hard to place this one: I don't remember CCF adopting this theme till like summer 2000 or so, yet there's MIKE, LU & OG, which makes this think this would be from very late 1999, very early 2000.
I don't know of any northerns who ever tolerate the cold. Southerns even start belly-aching if it drops below 70. Just once, I'd love to get through a winter season without having to listen to constant whining and complaining about how cold it is, or how the weather is gloomy, or how people...
I found it hard to swallow myself, but it's unfortunately floating around Facebook today.
Now Bob Ross, on the other hand, he was in the Air Force, and had to yell at people a lot, but once he returned to civilian life, he vowed to never yell at anyone ever again. He took up painting while...
I'm not entirely sure if this is true or not, but apparently the reason why Mr. Rogers always wore sweaters was to hide the tattoos he had gotten when he younger - supposedly he was a Marine, and a killing machine at that; the sweaters were his way of hiding a sordid past that he was not proud...
Despite it being in the 30s today and the fact that people around here seem to have an aversion to freezing, I saw a girl running around in short shorts.
A recurring villain may not even be a villain in the actual sense of a character (a la Constantine), it could simply be an antagonistic character set up to give the Muppets some kind of comic foil to create conflict - think Frank Burns from M*A*S*H.
I notice they're claiming the show was lacking any joy, laughter, and heart. Uh, yeah, when you're trying to model the show after other shows that lack those three ingredients, I doubt they're going to magically materialize.
I too always assumed his craziness and eccentricities were just personality traits, like Kramer once said, "most geniuses are [eccentric]." But as I said previously - in most of his interviews that I've listened to, he sounds flamboyant, charismatic, and energetic; that Jambireeq interview, on...
Wow, I guess even Stretch Films wasn't immune to interoffice politics and such; I forget the video, but I saw where Courage writer/storyboard artist Mike Wetterhahn commented on a video dissing Dilly, saying that he was very unpleasant to work for and apparently "very scary when off his meds."
My only theory is that Joey's departure is perhaps over the overall scale-back of Muppets on the show, because that, to me, is the "heart and soul of the show." That seems to make sense to me, because as I've also said many times before, I really hate to think that Joey would be that conceited...
