Guest Stars: Who Enjoyed It & Who Didn't?

Bruce Forsyth talks about his appearance in his autobiography; he speaks highly of his appearance and said that after he had finished taping he saw the characters hooked to pegs looking lifeless and it made him sad as they had seemed so lifelike before.

Guest Stars: Who Enjoyed It & Who Didn't?

He did almost the entire second-half of the show by himself, what else would you expect him to do? Not all guest stars got involved in the backstage plots. Don't know how accurate that is, as there is a quote from Mostel on Muppet Wiki humorously saying this about Jim Henson - "He has the...

Original TMS Zoot Ending Found on YouTube!

I can answer that for you- no; it was the usual end shot with a different sound effect.

    E-mail for Muppet Show DVD seasons 4 & 5

Sorry, but is it New Year's already? Because as far as I'm aware "this year" hasn't finished yet. Ladies & Gents, most of you are going to have to be patient and wait. I'm sure Buena Vista Entertainment will be releasing the remaining seasons in due course.

Original TMS Zoot Ending Found on YouTube!

The original ending does still exist on some copies - the logo is superimposed over a two-shot of Rowlf and Nigel. The review for the DVD of Season One has a screencap of the proper ending. The person who told you this got their logos mixed-up; in the 1980's Henson International Television...

Original TMS Zoot Ending Found on YouTube!

Good question; I once emailed Granada International (the current owners of the old ITV archive) and queried whether they still owned the masters. The response was "We don't own the rights to that show anymore." However, I strongly suspect that the masters *do* still exist at Granada...

Original TMS Zoot Ending Found on YouTube!

Very good find. Interesting to note that Louise Gold is credited as a performer which seems to confirm the theory that she *was* credited on the Season Two episodes she worked, albeit only on the left-hand credits.

Question about "Hope That Something Better Comes Along" song

I'm afraid your hearing is playing up; in the film version Rowlf scats and Kermit holds the long note only. There is no third voice.

Muppet Show Season 4 coming in 2013

The "gag reel" was simply a compilation of some of the trailers that the cast recorded. These would have aired on the ITV regions during the regular commercials.

Muppet Show Season 4 coming in 2013

I hope it doesn't as that didn't exactly have much to do with TMS.

Muppet Show Season 4 coming in 2013

Wooah! Since when has Animal been part of the "main five"? If anything, the other member of the "main five" is Scooter, who appeared in more backstage plots than Animal ever did.

    TMS Guest Star Biographies

Do we know of many TMS guest star biographies and autobiographies that discuss their appearanceon the series? I can think of a few - Roger Moore, Bruce Forsyth, Spike Milligan, Gene Kelly (the author was critical of his appearance)... Any others?

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Show Season 3

Have a look at the "Hopes for Season Four" thread. It's not coming out until next year.

Hopes for The Muppet Show Season 4

Incorrect; Rizzo the Rat was first named in the fourth season of TMS though my memory is that initially they used a generic rat puppet and the Rizzo puppet that they use today was first introduced in the fifth season.

    Question: TMS Loretta Lynn Episode

Although it was taped as part of Season Three, and while most guides refer to it being part of Season Three, this episode was actually the last to air in the UK as part of Season Two.

    Muppet Mistakes

Indeed; in the Crystal Gayle episode the Prairie Dogs remove it making Kermit completely naked.

Gonzo behavior in the Leslie Uggams ep

Returning to the idea of children's characters appearing on adult shows - when Elmo appeared on the Australian primetime chat show Rove Live back in 2007 and 2008 he made some very "adult" jokes. For example, host Rove MacManus said that as Elmo was going to be climbing the Sydney Harbour...

    Muppet censorship

According to IMDB the shot of the sailor smashing the bottle was cut when Muppet Movie aired in NZ for the first time.

"Gee, I wish I were you people..."

Not really, as I know that once again Kermit is breaking the fourth wall, just like he regularly did on the Muppet Show.
