A-freakin'-men. Now, I'll deal with what D'Snowth is talking about, and I get the point he's making. But by and large the whole imaginary conspiracy theory that Christians are being persecuted for their beliefs, the "war on Christmas" and all that is a complete fabrication of Karl Rovian anger...
Someone has to have the exact number of animated segments produced for Sesame Street. It's got to be mind boggling. Not that there couldn't have been some parental complaints to get this pulled, but Sesame Street has done worse, scarier (usually unintentionally) things. I'd say it's more a...
Completely different movie.
Plus, Land Before Time was good. At least before the barrage of DTV cheapquels that even Disney finds embarrassing.
I saw Anchorman 2 last week, BTW... I just couldn't stop laughing. it was actually quite painful, and gummi bears are something you really...
You know when a movie is so bad that it's funny for being bad? And then when you watch it, you can't help but make comments about how awful it is? Sort of like what the MST3K guys do. That is watching something ironically.
That's what happens with our soundbite crazy media. The subtlety...
And that's a very bad thing. There's so much better stuff to watch ironically than these reality shows. There are B movies MST3K had no time to tackle. There are really bad scripted TV shows out there, old and new. There's stuff people made with no intention of being camp. Much as I hate...
I'd say they're more the old ZZ Top Helmo's Angles types instead of true hippies.
But the truth does seem to be somewhere inbetween. If it's not all an act, it's partially one.
I don't think removing the Crack Master would have done much good, or would have made the skit make sense (as little as it does, anyway).
I wonder... it would be kinda funny if this skit was pulled from the Unfortunate Implications of an African American girl being in a cracked up, shabby...
Again, the POINT I was trying to make. MuppetsRule, being MuppetsRule, oversimplified my point (cherry picking the most accessible quote of mine) put words in my mouth and came off as an "I'm so much better than you" lecture. I've had problems with him in the past. There's a difference between...
I agree in terms of it not being as scary as I thought it would. But other than that, it was exactly like every description and reconstructed sound file that surfaced.
But the point is, we got one of the rarest Sesame Street skits available. In English too. It's probably the highlight of my...
It's far more weird than scary, I must admit. The "Bird" segment was far worse and far more surreal for surreal's sake. Seems less and less likely it was outright banned and just...well... lost.
I dunno.
Why does everything have to be so smug and self righteous with you?
All I'm saying is the show is FAKE! His talking points are probably just as fake as they are.
And yes. There are some great, generous rich guys. They DON'T go talking about how taxes are robbing them and whining...
It's probably not a facsimile, but it has eerie parallels of suckitude. I like John Leguizamo and all, but the character he plays looks far more annoying than Jar Jar Binks ever could. Just like the extremely annoying (and plug fugly) monkey from the Disney film.
Of course, Disney's film made...
AH HA!!!! YES! YES! YES! YES!
I knew that whole down home country stuff was total B.S. I'm sure the guy still believes that stuff, but now instead of a good ol' boy, he's some rich, spoiled guy who clings to Conservative Talking points because he's a rich spoiled guy! HA!
And in the event...
Is exactly what I've been saying.
He's stuck to stodgy, well worn conservative talking points, punctuated with "everything's wrong with the world now, as I am old." That's fine enough, but he's dragging it down blaming the existence of gay people (who, as history can tell us ONLY existed the...
I swear that movie was made only in anticipation of ripping off The Good Dinosaur, and getting it in before then.
Other than that, it looked dreadful. Just the same lame attempts at children's humor that lousy kid's movies keep limping on.
If there's one thing that I HATE about Disney villains, it's like the only ones that matter are the movie villains. What about the TV series or comic book villains? How come there's no respect for Magica DeSpell (who predated Ducktales by decades) or Megavolt or those guys? Pete barely seems...
