To tell the truth, I didn't catch too many classic clips when I last saw the hurricane episodes. That was probably around the time they got rid of Monsterpiece Theater, Grover the Waiter, Ask Oscar and other classic segments and put Elmo's World on instead.
No. I meant to say "Bert." I have read on previous threads that Bert and Snuffy have interacted, at least on albums, so I used his name as an example for somebody who could have backed up Big Bird's claim that there was a Snuffleupagus.
Sorry about the confusion. I guess I should have...
One thing I'm wondering about the airing of these episodes. Does this mean they'll air the new episodes later than expected or will they still start on Tuesday the 6th and air the hurricane eps after that week?
Any info on this will be appreciated.
Well, he seemed cranky before that too. Still, you can tell it's a different Santa in each of those specials.
That's true. But the other Muppets could have backed him up. They knew that Bert wouldn't lie. Just an example.
Don't forget about the Elmo's World holiday special, while "Elmo Saves Christmas" seems to be completely forgotten. Santa didn't seem to like Elmo there. Yet in "Elmo's World" Santa says that Elmo is at the top of his nice list.
Actually, I don't think that was Elmo's very first...
I don't know. Maybe you could make your own website with that stuff. It was just a thought though. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble with the law or anything.
Nope. Barkley definately has been established as Linda's dog. I remember a sketch where Gordon said he was building a doghouse for "Linda's dog Barkley." There was also an episode where Telly did a Monster on the Spot news story from Linda's house where she lived with Barkley. Also, I recall...
Yep, I remember that very clearly. I even remember a blooper in that one with Bob McGrath forgetting to sign for Linda when he spoke to her. I'd really like to be able to see that one again if I got a chance.
Hmmmm. I don't remember the episode where Linda "adopted" Barkley. I just recall they've established him as Linda's dog.
Then again, I do remember an episode where a lady from an animal shelter came to Sesame Street. Hoots told her that Barkley didn't have an owner that he knew of so the...
Yeah, I've noticed that in the Candice Bergen episode that Richard was still performing Piggy when Frank was performing other characters (Ex: :attitude: :o ). That's where I got a bit confused in the Harvey Korman episode. There Frank was performing other characters while Richard was...
I think what you're referring too is that new "Comcast" or something channel that's coming out. I forget what it's called. I think the thread is one of the "stickys." It may be under "Announcments." Hope this info helps.
That's good info, but it really defies logic. It's hard to believe so many people could miss seeing a guy that big. Lol. Poor Snuffy always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I have to agree. That's actually the only time I can remember seeing Mr. Hooper other than books or stuff like that. I would like to have had a chance to see him interact with other characters besides Bert and Ernie.
O.K., I don't think there were any Timelife episodes where he said "Wocka Wocka!" so I'll just have to look for that when later DVD seasons come out.
I did notice his voice sounding a bit different in early episodes, especially in the one with Rita Moreno. On the first season DVD I'm at...
I never really thought of that. But I guess it's possible. I mean Linda signed "Keep Christmas With You" when Bob and the kids were singing, she could enjoy his music that way.
Hmmm. For my local station, it said it was supposed to air on the 5th of September. But that wouldn't make sense because that day's a holiday and they don't air new shows on holidays.
I'm also worried this might be a pledge drive month, so they may do some editing of the new episodes. *sigh*
Well, it's good that they're still playing older skits with Linda. I just wonder why she left the show. Her character was really great and she definately had something going on with Bob.
