That's Alice Dinnean-Vernon performing Sweetpea Sue. And yes, she does have a good singing voice, judging by the clips I've seen on YouTube. (She kinda sounds like Gabriela from Sid the Science Kid with a sweet Southern accent, IMHO)

I like SS for what it is-- just classic puppetry. :-) As far as who'd do an animated SS along with Sesame Workshop and the Jim Henson Company, I would've gone with Marvel (hey, Marvel worked with Jim Henson on Muppet Babies, after all!) rather than DiC. And if they went with different voice...

I think it is! As for other performers, I can hear Alice Dinnean-Vernon and Victor Yerrid, but I'm not sure who the other Muppeteer's voice is... it could be Julianne Buescher for the horse, though. And if it is Dave Goelz for the dog, this may be one of the few times a classic Muppeteer...

I love it. Especially when it comes to Sid and his friends (my favorite of his friends might either be Gerald or Gabriela because they are both energetic and fun). And the fact that they do a week's worth of episodes regarding a certain theme is pretty much like how Mr. Rogers used to handle it...
