That's true. I'm never really bothered by Jerry's Snuffy in "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street." It seems like the voice is just softer and with less energy like he has a cold. I'd still like to hear Brian's Telly say more than just "H- ot," so I can compare the two voices. It seems that his...
Personally, I wouldn't like to see Susan be replaced. I mean Loretta Long has played her since day one. It would be hard to find someone else to fill her shoes. Of course, I don't want to see her written out of the show either. Oh, well. I guess it's in the writer's hands.
Wow! It's been so long since I've seen a new ep, I forgot about that. I'll have to check my local listings. I've checked the website for channel 44 and they say that the new eps will begin on October 2nd. Unless they do a few new ones before that. I've noticed some episodes listed for...
I'm glad it's not just me. Maybe they should put the new ones on You Tube. Or maybe that wouldn't be the best idea, because then they wouldn't have enough room to keep the classic stuff up there. Oh, well. I guess we all will see the new ones at some point.
Well, he was in a season 36 cold opening once. Still I see what you mean. That would be a good idea to put Trash Gordon on the street, maybe with Super Grover.
Well, at least they were better at continuity back then then they were now. When Maria told BB about the part where she asked Luis for a raise she said, "remember you were there?" So for the most part they did well with that one.
It was kind of dumb in the 35th anniversary special to act...
Yeah. It would be great to see the humans in this one, but that is kind of unlikely. None of the humans appeared in Cinderelmo. They just had celebrities for most of the major roles. (Kathy Najimi, Oliver Platt, etc.) I'm assuming they'll do the same thing here. Though I hope I'm wrong...
Yeah. That usually happens during pledge drive months. My station didn't even air that ep today. (At least not that I know off. Unless the TV listings for my local station are incorrect) Maybe they figure that if they're going to cut parts out of the new ones, why bother showing them...
Yeah, I saw the sketch in the first season where BB played the rhyming game with Gordon and Chris and he kept saying words that didn't rhyme. If that were made today, Big Bird would have been a heck of a lot smarter. In a way, that was sort of like what that elephant was doing in the recent ep...
Gee. And I thought that line was made famous by Oscar on "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street." Lol.
Again, I was pretty young during the Hooper years, so Christmas Eve on Sesame Street is pretty much all I can remember of him.
However, thanks to 'You Tube' I was able to see the sketch with...
Yeah. I was thinking that too. I guess the box set is too show more of "Sesame Street's" history. If they dubbed over Snuffy's voice, they'd also have to change Oscar's color in season one. Put Roscoe Orman in scenes where Matt Robinson should be. I could go on and on.
Besides, from what...
Well, maybe we could all write to her and see how she's doing. I've noticed that somewhere at the Henson People thread, Jerry Nelson wrote a long post about how his health is and everything. (I hope he gets to feeling better as well) Anyway, maybe we'll get that from Loretta at some point.
Yeah. I saw that one. I liked when he called him Mr. Marshmallow. Except, I always thought that Big Bird was four in the 70s and didn't exactly turn six until the "Follow that Bird" era. At least that's what some sources say.
Also, sources tend to disagree on what type of bird BB is...
I know what you mean. After all, Bob is quite a bit older than Susan and he's around a lot more often.
I think someone mentioned in another thread that she also works as an HS principal and that takes up most of her time. But, I agree with you. I hope that her health is okay and everything.
Wow! I didn't know that John left. I thought he did some occassional pupateering for Elmo. (Left arm or something like that) I also read on Wikipedia that John is set to take over for Elmo if there ever becomes a point where Kevin Clash is no longer available to play him. I wonder if that's...
Yeah. I saw "Google Bugle." I thought that sketch was okay, but I wonder if CM was the best character to pick for that one. He really didn't say anything about his obsession with Cookies. I wonder if that would have been better with Grover or Telly.
I just want to point out that I finally saw Brian Muehl's Telly in the 'hot' sketch on 'You Tube.' Though it was a bit hard to tell the difference in his Telly voice than Marty's. His groaning and his laughing sounded pretty much the same. But when he said the word 'hot,' it seems like the...
