I must say I agree with you. In fact it's something I also pointed out awhile back. The point I was just trying to make was that we shouldn't have to stop liking or watching Elmo the character because of the recent events surrounding Kevin the performer.

I loved Pepe in this.

Nah, I've learned to separate character from performer. No matter what the outcome is in all this, I'll still respect Kevin's work he did on the show regardless.

Must admit I'm still a little overwhelmed by this news. I feel like this really won't sink in until I hear the new Elmo voice.

Thought I'd share one of my favorite Elmo moments.

Honestly...I'm not all that worried about the voice. Anyone can do a voice impression. Muppeteers themselves have said the voice is secondary. I'm more so worried about the actual character. Kevin gave Elmo/ helped shape Elmo's personality in the 28 years he's had him. He's help build range and...

The video was very touching. And agreed, such a sad ending to such a storied character. Question though...what episode was Elmo performed as a Live-Hand puppet? Anyone?

I'm guessing either Matt or Joey Mazzarino. More likely Joey since he's already head writer, director, etc.

Elmo will definately appear. It's just he may not have a speaking role in whatever song they sing. Plus, he's still their most popular character.
