I had a salad as part of my meal tonight, and probably not even an hour later, it already . . . ahem, came out the other end. So . . . if my metabolism is that fast, then there's really no rhyme or reason I should be so fat then, should there?
There was another P Pal bumper with Paganini, a concert violinist, who always sang, "For your information purely you will like this program surely," and it too sounded an awful lot like Jerry. I can't seem to find a clip of it on YouTube, but I have it on a few old tapes.
He put out a novelty record in the early 60s called Tick Tock Sick.
IIRC, it was mentioned in Brian Jay Jones's book that Jim toyed with the idea of putting out more novelty records in the 60s.
I just now realized that over the years I've built approximately a dozen puppets. Doesn't seem like that many, but I suppose so. Funnily enough, it's only been with my four most recent puppets that I feel I've finally gotten about as good as I'm ever going to get . . . at least I remedied one...
I remember years ago posting on this very forum how when I was trying out Adobe Premiere for the first time that I found myself very befuddled and confused. Right now, I'm laughing at myself inside over that, because I quickly took to it very well, and everytime I use it, I keep wishing I had it...
Again, David Gallo said in an interview that he felt he did a good job when he saw the look on Bob's face when he stepped onto the new set for the first time, and seemed relieved at what he saw.
Same here, my exposure to TMS as a kid was very limited at best, but I always had the movies on tapes to revisit whenever I wanted, so when I think of Beauregard, the first thing that usually comes to my mind is him as the taxi driver in GMC, which I always enjoyed: especially how Kermit quickly...
I feel the same way about M*A*S*H. It started out as a sitcom, and it gradually invoked more dramatic undertones - that wasn't so bad, because it was war, and the very early seasons could be a tad too silly, slapstick, and broad at times. It wasn't until Season 8 of that show that it suddenly...
Y'know, if certain morals, values, and decencies can be considered "outdated" because, "this is the 21st century," then why can't racism, political divide, and gay bashing be outdated either? Those things really need to be outdated moreso than anything.
As much as people have been hating on this movie - the trailer being the most disliked video in the history of YouTube, and people ripping it a new one before it even hit theaters - I'm surprised at how much hype it's gotten, what with both Papa John's and Progressive endorsing the movie.
Am I missing something here? When did Paul Ryan suddenly become like the Elvis of the Republican party? Why is he suddenly the party's go-to guy everything?
I never said I dislike when shows are real, I'm just pointing out that's the difference between shows then and now, realism is more a key factor now than it was then.
As for SEINFELD, at least that show had more going for it beyond the sexual content: the underlying theme of how a comedian gets...
My only problem with Mr. Enter is that he almost never pauses or takes a beat or anything. Yeah, he'll stop long enough for us to see/hear something key from the movie or show he's reviewing, but I mean as he's reviewing, it's like he just keeps talking in run-on sentences without stopping. Even...
Yes, they probably do, because this is one of the problems with sitcoms today: networks want shows and character that are "relatable" to people, because it makes the shows more "realistic" and "believable." That's also another reason why so many characters on TV today are unlikeable *********...
I can see the point that Sarge is making, in that there are some particularly fanatic folks out there who feel the need to shove their ways, views, beliefs, what have you, down people's throats, and pretty much condemn them altogether for not agreeing with those views . . . although I won't go...
