As a longtime Garfield fan, this came as rather interesting news...

I totally thought they had given up on this property. Hopefully this doesnt end up like Rocky and Bulwinkle or other...
Ack, mostly animatronics eh? hmmm...I'd be interested if it was the actual puppeteered Muppets. I will say the late 80's was such a magical time for Muppet productions, even the obscure ones(Like the Youre as Funny as Fozzie Bear type vhs)
Btw, an animatronic Camilla was once auctioned on...
My gosh, forget the baby singers...Suggs is now my choice for most annoying character on TMS. Yet I am ever so blown away by Fozzie's amazing chemistry on the show to this day.
That would be a most excellent idea! The Weezer Muppet crossover thing(video, cd single, shirts, special on MTV, etc) was one of th ecoolest Muppety things in 2002. So far the only merch Ive seen is the Kermit cover cd single, and shirts(tho there might be a Weezer tshirt plush Kermit? not sure)...
Um, yeah. As far as I know there was no promotional or inhouse swag for Muppetworld.com when it launched in 1999(and pretty muich stayed in 1999) This just happens to be one of many JHC related anomaly items that manages to pop up on ebay.
(like the firetruck grill, toilet seats, etc)
Yeah I remember when this site popped online last summer. It is definately official, complete with JHC's lack of eye apeasing flash skills as well. Seriously, whats the point of this site?(moreso, the links? ACK!) I am one of Joe the Armadillo's biggest fans, but man...that site just aint cool...
Jamie, you would LOVE www.yesterdayland.com it has tons of info on EVERY 80's(as well as 50's-90's) saturday morning cartoon, prime time show, and even fashion faux paus(big shoulder blazers and skinny ties included!) They even have several sections on Cyndi Lauper alone!
Yeah, Im pretty sure they were referencing TP:rolleyes:
...then again, Kermit *did* say it in a very negative connotation...
Yeah...riiight....hundreds of active Muppet websites...unless you count those countless 'havent been updated in 7 years' geocities sites...were talking about Muppet...
Oooh! So good to see other TMNT fans! I was hoping more people caught the Kermit the Frog reference ont he episode, heh.
Well youre in luck! As I missed last week's episode due to NAscar, I was able to see that and this weeks episodes today(Fox reairs the prior weeks episode at 7:30(or 8:30)...
Re: Re: When Muppets, Star Wars, and Disney clashed...
It was perhaps BEauregard's only starring role in a Muppet production...it is also IMHO the best darn Muppet special EVER next to Muppet Family Xmas. Ya should seek out someone for a fan trade of this epicly great special(It was also...
Also notice, MC's influence on the NBC Xmas VMC Muppet movie...Emmy got not one but two 'muffin' references, as well as a brick(ok, that was named 'Amy') and Phil pretty much got a nice wink and nod from Kermit.
But yeah, dont mind the inside jokes...theyve been around here longer than...
I hadnt watched Saturday Morning ABC Disney block programming for awhile, and was quite impressed with the lineup. While I was mor einclined to watch FoxBox(mainly for TMNT...they referenced the Muppets on this episode! "A wise frog once said, "It aint easy being green") as well as Nick Jr. on...
Actually, Miyazaki himself had an insane hand in even the minute details of Spirited Away from all that Ive read, from ceoncept to execution. So he was able to oversea(heck maybe even do a lot of the actual hand painting...I mean only he could do some of the lush greenscape by hand...even though...
Luke, I was kidding buddy...just as you were kidding about JHC going full cgi. OF COURSE JHC needs the latest in cgi for certain scenes and characters. It would be massively fullish to expect JHC to only use puppetry and animatronics. I was commenting on how ya said "or even *gasp* to a certain...
Heh, good one Jamie! and in case some think Im just making that up...
to whoever hung with williams after the hbo show:
UR AWESOME!
And Nate, perhaps I use that word to much...you know what I really mean though when I say 'edgy'...I mean innovative, interesting, awe inspiring, something...
Well the early 90's were a darkened horrible time for the Muppets/JHC in general. But I get to see some of the new Sesame on dvds and vhs(my birds loves the stuff, so I rent em at the local ibrary) I love Telly...I cant say enough good things about him. I think and him Baby Bear work great, heck...
Thanks for that dubious insight Murgatoad
(rhymes with wumbleteeds)
Have to say, not only do these next to features look boring as all get out, but definately not the epic last hurrah if they truly are moving away from pure traditional animation. Two movies about the old west...
