Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

New episodes are airing every Thursday from now on; this week's is a repeated storyline, however.

    Emmy Awards "In Memoriam" segment

Wouldn't he have been included in last year's Emmys? I don't think he was then, but even if he wasn't, it wouldn't make sense to include him this year.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

If there's any indication, it seems that the show's trying to go completely widescreen/HD. Especially now, with all the last-season repeats. I'd like to see AFFS go too, with it now being in the EW state of not having any new episodes, yet is still a daily feature. The only problem I see is that...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

The only problems I have with the season so far is A. the heavy repeating of stuff from last season, to the point where the exact same letter/number bits are used again from last year, in the same order as last year, and B. the lack of Ernie and Bert. They couldn't have squeezed in one bit? Or...

    Ugliest International Sesame Street Muppets

Samson is far from ugly compared to a lot of the characters posted here. Like, seriously, what's the purple anteater thing on the first page?

Classic Sesame Street clips on YouTube

I didn't know the Noodles and Nedd artist used the characters outside of Sesame Street: It's pretty clear why *this* never aired on the show.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

There's definitely spoofs this season not mentioned in the press kit. Like the Safety Dance one they did the other day, and today's "Simon Says" episode features a "Pinball Wizard" parody.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

I'm actually not getting the files anymore. My school just got some online TV stream, with a DVR function, so I won't be missing any episode anytime soon. I liked John Cho's appearance. I haven't seen any Harold and Kumar movies, but his appearance on 30 Rock was hysterical.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

"Rhymes for Mando": Great song, but the way it's filmed is weird (it's grown on me, but not too much).

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Also, Elmo was clearly being performed by someone else, with Kevin doing the voice. Either he wasn't in that day, or this was filmed after he left and he recorded his lines ahead of time.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Were the songs in today's episode spoofs? They sounded very Broadway-esque.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

I know the show's forced itself to do heavy re-using of certain sketches, but the direct borrowing of stuff from last season is starting to bug me (like the "7" and "T" inserts were literally shown in the same place, same order last season). But, I do like how little they've used the "Cube Spin"...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

I would like to point out the hilarious, almost Looney Tunes style shuffle the chicken umpire in "Bird the Musical" did. Man, what they can do with the puppets there is amazing.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Joey was also doing the third pig (Eric, who was also there, was presumably doing the Wolf's right hand). I noticed that too, he's got a slight rasp to him now. Maybe the high energy voice is starting to wear on Joey.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Yeah: http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Episode_4411 Only the Count and Herry have been confirmed to appear in it so far; hopefully others do too.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Marty's performance in today's episode was absolutely brilliant, beautiful even. He better get a Daytime Emmy nom. this year. And Dave Matthews and Grover's song was great too. Joey Mazzarino mentioned in an interview that he wished to write a song as good as "I Don't Want to Live on the...

    So... Sesame Street Season 44!

I don't think he says "Eyes wide shut". He says "Eyes watch."

1996 "Lead Out" video with Oscar, Elmo & Rosita

Grouches are their own species in general, it seems. Oscar is occasionally referred to as a monster (I think the Sesame Place site does).

New Sesame Documentary coming to DVD

This probably isn't new, it's gotta be from at least 1993.

TV Alert: Sesame Street on Good Morning America September 13

You're right, it's not the same. It's changed for the better in many respects.
