TV Alert: The Muppets on "A Capitol Fourth" Friday July 4, 2014

Okay. I saw the part with Kermit and Miss Piggy, but I thought that was it so I switched to the ball game. Does anyone have any videos of the parts with Fozzie and Animal?

    Whatever Happened To.......

One thing to keep in mind is that Barkley belonged to Linda who's no longer on the show. Maybe he still lives with her, but she has him visit Sesame Street whenever he needs a dogsitter. Just a little something to think about.

    R.I.P Maya Angelou

Oh, okay. There was a Maya Angelou post. No wonder my post about that isn't there any more. I guess it got deleted or moved or whatever. Anyway, she was great with her appearances on "Sesame Street" and "Elmo Saves Christmas" and all she's done. She will be deeply missed.

    Whatever Happened To.......

Way more than two. He was also performed by Brian Muehl and Fred Garbo. (Is he related to Greta? Just curious there.)

    Joan Ganz Cooney Tribute

Yeah. I remember Jim's interview with her on "SS: 20 and Still Counting" where she mentioned that when she started doing Sesame Street, she never thought she and Jim would be sitting there 20 years later talking about it. Congrats, Joan.

Happy 70th FRANK OZ - (congrats on milestone!)

Happy birthday, Frank. Thanks for giving life to these characters: :o:mad::halo::attitude::hungry:(hands):(:insatiable::super:

    Kermit/Cookie Monster pledge-drive sketch

I wasn't aware Muppet Show Muppets did pledges for PBS, especially considering their show wasn't on PBS, but I agree with ZNS, any uploads on these rare ones would be appreciated.

Rumor: New Sesame Street Movie in the Works

I agree with that. Kevin's and Jerry's characters are in good hands now, so as Jim Henson once said, "Take what you've got and fly with it."

Episodes that Have Stuck with You

Yeah. That one's kind of taboo for DVD releases not so much because of Brian's Telly (because they could just have Marty redub the lines there), but because of the "imaginary Snuffy" references. That's something that would probably confuse kids. Still, it's kind of sad that they can't somehow...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Yeah. I noticed a difference in the voice too. Maybe Kevin just had a cold when he recorded that segment or something. You never know.

    Sesame Street Quiz-aper

Okay. Let me try this. What is your favortie Sesame Street time period? Probably the 70s and the 80s Who is your favorite monster? It's a tie between Grover and Cookie Monster What are your favorite SS songs? Gosh. There are so many. I like "ABC-DEF-GHI," "C is for Cookie," "What's the...

Any mentions of Mr. Hooper after he died?

Okay. Well, that would be interesting to see. If you come across that online or somewhere at any point, let me know.

Any mentions of Mr. Hooper after he died?

I'm sorry. I still don't recall that. Are you sure you're not thinking of "Stars and Stripes Forever: A 25th Anniversary Celebration?" I remember that one showed flashbacks of Hooper but it wasn't a Christmas special.

Any mentions of Mr. Hooper after he died?

Which Christmas special? He was in Christmas Eve on Sesame Street obviously, but I don't recall any after his death that talked about him. They did talk about Hannakauh which Mr. H. celebrated in "Elmo's World: Happy Holidays," but they still didn't directly mention him. I don't know if that's...

Any mentions of Mr. Hooper after he died?

Thanks, Gobo. I should try that one some time, except when do you put the eggs in? It is called an egg cream, so I'm just kind of curious on that.

    Ernie & Prairie Dawn

Like I said, it's like those 30s Porky Pig cartoons, he's whatever age works for him in the sketch. It's probably the same with Grover.

    The Return of "Muppet What-Ifs?"

<<What if Abelardo from Plaza Sesamo learned how to speak fluent English?>> I'd actually like to see that. It would be nice for him and Big Bird to meet up again and have an actual conversation. Lol. I've got one. What if the Muppets had a cameo in "Peabody and Sherman" or vice versa? That...

Coming Soon: Sesame Street Season 45

Yeah. I know what you mean. I'm not all into cursing and that suggestive dialogue, still Kat is a talented actress and they don't have a lot of clean cut shows on TV these days and maybe we could start a separate thread in 'general discussion' on this because we went from talking to SS season 45...

Coming Soon: Sesame Street Season 45

Well, "Raisng Dad" was more wholesome than "2 Broke Girls." I got to say that, but I'll check out your fan fic. Thanks for pointing that out.

Coming Soon: Sesame Street Season 45

Kat Dennings? Thanks for the heads up, Sam. I was a big fan of her in "Raising Dad" and I'm now watching her current show "2 Broke Girls."
