It was kind of painful to see Fozzie's appearence, but I think that is his schtick he does best(the 'crickets and tumbleweeds' thing) A bit forced, and it was obvious Ozzie isnt much a Muppet fan. But as always, it's always great seeing Muppets on tv. I liked Grover's appearence too not to long...
JHC begins filming Dark Crystal Sequel soon
Since 1998 weve been waiting for this news:

They are on the fast track with this one! Shooting begins this Fall for a 2007 release. We might actually get DC figures someday!
Um, 99.9999 % of the population has nipples. And butts. I wanna hear some more sophisticated or subversive references, as well as nods to the older fans and Muppet history.
The Cory Enthusiasm Advisory has been set to nauseatingly low...it could be raised to guarded yellow tho if I hear more...
Well it's always good news when someone who knows the Muppets well is involved in the current scheme of things.
It still feels like a dream, a very bad one...this whole Disney thing. I keep thinking that JHC will buy back the Muppets one of these days.
As for all sorts of performers...
This guy is able to articulate what I've been thinking. I dont think the younger fans on here can appreciate fully the historical presedent this writer is giving.
"Or, rather, it could — but it would first have to pass it through three focus groups, all its senior management, Disney’s...
Here's hoping we'll get some word on releasing the remainign sculpted figures. It would be completely lame if Palisades doesnt release Sal, penguins, EM minis, etc at least via ebay or something.
Well well well, the long awaited 1977 special Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas, a MUPPET special...is being released by HIT...MINUS the Kermit scenes. Are the Disney lawyers that crumudgeonly to give a rat's behind if there's a few Kermit scenes in there? Henson is trying to play history...
I do not believe in patronizing the fast food industry; but if they have cool toys I'll make an exception! I was so blown away when Jack in the Box has the Muppet action figure line two years ago...but Mcdonalds has not had Muppet toys since MTI in 1996. But yeah, any Muppet figures would be rad.
A very big congradulations on winning! I wish some of the Muppets/performers could have been in attendance, but nonetheless it sounded like an awesome trip.
Nada zilch zippo. This Oz thing should have never happened...as I was hoping the Muppets no tplaying themselves phenomenon was over. For here on out, they need to be playing themselves...with Juhl level writing if possible.
Were just looking for 'Oz isnt completely lame, and has some nods to the more hardcore fans' :) Glad ya got to go, sounds awesome o see a muppet film on the big screen again.
Oh I didnt say that:) I just meant there will be a few things that might be cool about the special.
whoah, I dont even remember them from the movie! Some of them reminded me of Land of Gorch when I first saw that pic.
Well, Disney's subsidiary puts out all of QT's violent films...so, I...
I have long considered Muppets Wizard of Oz to be a lame duck so to speak, even before the Disney buyout. To me it wreaked of early to mid 90's JHC(AKA the dark ages)
However, some recent pix on ABC's website show that a good chunk of this film may very well have our beloved furry friends...
I HATED greg the bunny on fox, but found the shorts to be great(th eobscure references and obscure spoofs were classic!) This sounds like a great angle, cant wait to see it.
Believe me, I am right with you. Since I came into existence my dna has been filled with all things Muppets and JH. I've long envisioned Muppet fans around the world getting together in celebration of all things fuzz and foam. In 1998 and 1999 onthe old MC forums we used to ponder a Muppet fan...
