Yeah. It would have been nice if they had used footage from the actual movie, but it's always good to have Steve sing that song as well. Plus, I liked Kermit and Rowlf having a similar conversation to the one they had in the movie. It's nice that they have separate performers now so they can...
One thing I feel bad about regarding Marty is he never really had his own character. He inherited Telly from Brian Muehl and of course, Jerry Nelson and Michael Earl performed Snuffy before Marty came along. Slimey? Well, I think Jerry may have performed him originally.
But did he ever...
Yeah. It's weird when you think about it, since Telly's been on the show since 1979, (or 1978 actually if you count the year he was there as the Television Monster) yet he never got that much exposure for some reason other. I wonder why that is.
Well, he did appear on GMA one year. Plus Marty said he's planning on being with the show for quite some time yet, so hopefully he'll be doing Snuffy and even Telly in more talk show appearances or whatever for many years to come.
Yeah. That's what I was thinking. I know we mentioned in the last thread that Kermit is okay without Piggy, but now I'm thinking that maybe he does miss her and he just sort of dates Denise to fill the void.
Yeah. That came as a shocker to me because I didn't hear about that in advance which is just as well because Kermit and Miss Piggy just happened to be there, but didn't do or say anything. I guess Steve and Eric had the evening off.
I did like that they showed an ad for the next "Muppets"...
Yeah. I was wondering what the deal was with :sing: and :flirt: on this series. Sort of a nice call back to the early episodes of TMS. I recall Janice would dance with Zoot in the At the Dance segments, but I believe she did dance with :D at one point as well.
Piggy's ending line was great...
Oh, okay. So I didn't get the whole story. Does this mean he'll return as Elmo or is he just working for other Henson projects? I'll check out the video description as well. I may have missed that.
Okay, here's what I'm getting from what I read. It seems like Kevin is doing more 'behind...
Yeah. I know what you mean. I think Kermit and Denise will probably break up eventually, considering she was only scene in the first episode and the unaired pilot and when we did see her there was really no chemistry between them. It seems like Kermit will eventually realize that there's only...
Well, that's a good way of looking at it, but she was 'flanderized' even before they broke up.
I like your thoughts though and that is a good way for the story to progress. We'll just have to see what happens in future episodes.
Sorry for the double post. But I guess I slipped up when I commented before watching the video, so I guess he isn't officially with the Henson company now. They just happened to sing that song while celebrating his birthday. Still that was good. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, I see what you mean and it wasn't just on this show, it was on "Good Luck Charlie," in interviews. (Piggy recently stated on a talk show that the other Muppets were Kermit's friends, not hers.) I agree that she has been flanderized over the past few years. It's no wonder Kermit broke up...
Yeah. Joey was a Muppet performer long before Murray. Remember that he worked with David on the Two Headed Monster and was Lightning in "Elmo Saves Christmas" and he played Horatio the Elephant for quite some time too, so he does deserve to be seen as more than just Murray. My guess is Joey's...
To be honest, Murray's main function was hosting the block format which the show has done with out for 39 years, so how much is he really needed? Plus we know that Joey's leaving, so as of right we don't know if they're recasting him or if he's leaving altogether.
:):o:concern:: Or if he's...
