It was great seeing the Sesame Muppets(I LOVE how they still officially call them the Sesame Muppets! Legalities be darned!) as per usual, but where were the Muppet show muppets?
Oh, and it's all about a vegetarian thanksgiving! :)
@Luke: LOL @ 'should be kept behind closed doors at screen tests'. I agree, I mean supposedly the screentest with the guest Statler and Waldorf was leaked online. They even had a fake Pepe!
It's a rough fan choice. We want a steady serving of Muppet stuff, but then we have to live with the...
You're forgetting about the animated Muppet show(starring Splurge) called Scary Scary Monsters, which was spose to be akin to the Fraggle Rock animated show. It was set for a 1998 release, and in fact they had various promotional tie ins and books. Supposedly a pilot was made.
Also, 2002 Fox...
I noticed the first episodes relied heavily on more 'edgy' humor which I love...now they are more quaint, which can be ok. I like this episode much better than the last one...I guess I'm more used to the new S&W performers. That, and I kind of dug the Weather guy. Reminded me of those generic...
Well what's interesting, is I have been on MC for many many years...and have never seen costum jobs on this level. It's truly incredible.
My question is, why ain't ya working as a prototype tooler for Palisades or another company;)
Also, who did ya make the green frackle with? I'd love to...
According to this: http://muppetnewsflash.blogspot.com/
...the project is on the fast track.
There hasn't been a cool new Muppet since Mo Frackle debuted Nov of 2001 on Family Feud. I would love to see what new personalities, characters, etc they could come up with.
HOLY TAMOLE!
Here is the direct link...these are insanely incredible.

Just...wow. Truly THE best customs I have seen since that Dark Crystal Skeksis custom. Please send these pix to Palisades to be shown!
I'm surprised Kermit's Xmas Caper was even announced, as anyone could see they were'nt going to be able to script/perform and film and then edit this thing in time for any sort of Holiday spot.
Well I gotta say is that this image really disgusts me:

Disney is sending a strong message here, that the corrupt illuminati rat fink is now pulling the strings. :)
I really hope they keep that Muppet Holding Company...
LOL! I think JHC did this on purpose perhaps...I mean it's so history revisionist and over the top to go OUT of there way to make no mention of Muppets nor Sesame, the two main properties which made JHC JHC.
Could ya imagine a Disney 50 years celebration with no Micky, Minnie, Donald, or...
Count, are ya saying there is a fan based indiependent company that can take a prototype, and make more of them? Do they have any examples online? That is an incredible discovery.
Well, I couldnt even afford a Sal prototype even if it was $100, heh. That is rather unfortunate they couldnt...
Does anyone know if they sold on ebay any of the Electric Mayhem minis?
Just horrible they wont be making these...again, I'd pay $50 for a set if they were thru a specialty online retailer.
It's strange how Jim Henson Hour in 1989 was more edgy and hip than 2005. I agree, I was very unnerved this this week's episode. Yes, I know we should be grateful were getting anything, and its nice to have these new spots.
But it's night and day with replacement puppeteers.
Man, that Dr...
Yikes...our Muppets cannot be outsourced!
That would be a brilliant nod to hardcore fans.
Also, when I first heard news of this project, I was worried it was a real reality tv show where they were to let just anyone try and perform the Muppets.
Yesssh, that was positively dreadful. Statler and Waldorf are hit and miss chemistry comedic wise(all about the script I guess) but at least with Stevev and Dave it feels like Statler and Waldorf.
My biggest complaint this week was the Dr Teeth and Animal sketch. While animal seemed like...
Oh man, this is some of the raddest footage I've seen in ages. Dr Teeth, Janice, Kermit, Rizzo, Swedish Chef, Rowlf, and Mahna Mahna and the two Snowths WITH the return of the Muppet Show backstage. Unbelievable.
Disney, I may just have a renewed hope in ya yet!
Everything Aardman/Wallace&Gromit Destroyed
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/4326286.stm
Wow, very very sad news for any fan of Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, Creature Comforts, etc. The entire wherehosue that houses the history, sets and everything imaginable from the claymation...
Some years ago a Bear in the Big Blue House direct to video movie was planned. Now that even Fraggle Rock is getting a film, any chance even just a direct to dvd Bear feature will be made?
