I have to agree with Quinn here. Not my fave.
It's a nice album, but the content would fit better with the Sesame characters and sensibility. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just see the Muppet Show cast as having a different sort of style. Just seemed too kid-oriented for my taste.
(I wrote much of this in another thread, but planned on making a seperate thread for this topic after I saw a Veggie Tales tape for the first time this Christmas. It was the Viking one.)
The writing and humor of these is amazing. I cracked up. Any fan of Muppets should enjoy this stuff...
Veggie Tales Saved My Christmas!
I agree with much of what you said and would have agreed with your Veggie Tales comment had I not actually seen a tape. Yes, you have the in-your-face Christian values, but that really doesn't offend me. It's handled in a classy way and you can expect that from...
I am stoked to see the Two Towers. I didn't catch the first in the theater (too busy) but have watched it several times on DVD.
I feel they used CG in its place. I too am an advocate for animatronics and puppetry. A blending of the two forms is ideal. I find it funny that the best scenes...
Okay, I'm an opinionated former film major. LOL!
I've heard about this film for months. Maybe I just see more promos living in San Fran. City markets seem to get the most saturation.
From what I've seen Leo seems okay. Not my favorite actor, but he looks like he's having a good time in this...
Um...did you miss a memo? They do that in ALL of their films. TMM - the kept speaking to the camera and referring to the screenplay. GMC (you already mentioned). MTM - Kermit gives a nod to the camera before he marries Piggy. MCC - Gonzo and Rizzo refer to the audience and speak directly to them...
Oh, I don't think so at all. The Lab's trouble is that it appeared dark and different for many people's taste (I liked it, but it needs a clock).
Vet's Hospital will likely have enough knobs, gags, accessories and interesting points that it will sell. Like those who like cooking - the Chef...
* I like Standard Red Floyd better than Blue Floyd. Just looks better in red.
* I like Exclusive EB Piggy's head (with the long hair) placed on the standard Purple (hair up) Piggy's body. So, that is a split vote.
* I enjoy Standard Kermit more than Tux Kermit. Love the collar.
* I...
Muppet Central received its new format - face lift in September. It was a rather drastic visual change (like Henson.com, but without the green spots ;)). LOL! Not really that noteworthy, but since the anniversary was mentioned, I thought the revamp would be too. It's a magnificant and...
I think that sometimes a member can double click the submit button by mistake. I have sometimes hit the back and forward buttons and posted the same thing twice and later deleted it. I'm sure it's not intentional.
I also favor the repaint. Yeah, it would be great to have the arm work in some capacity, but Rizzo is being packed with accessories to balance out his small size. He was probably just as expensive as the rest of the figures so not all of the pack-ins could be spectacular. That's my thinking on...
I can see that. I wouldn't be opposed to Henson bringing back the Babies with a new team of artists and new characters (and voices). It would be fun to see the Mayhem and even Pepe in the mix. Maybe even update it. I feel if the show had been released today, that the quality of animation would...
I like Piggy from the Muppet Show (she had so many looks), but Great Muppet Caper Miss Piggy is my favorite look. She really was only grotesque in the first Muppet Show season and hit her prime by the third season.
I'm so glad someone else hated that Manhattan perm too. You know, I think...
Sky blue eye shadow and big, big hair. I lived in Houston - the most metropolitan city in Texas and the fourth largest in the country and we still got a bit too much of that here.
They were just talking about ALF on VH1's retro-spective show on the 80s. Most of the stars interviewed liked him except one, but I don't remember who it was...think she was out of work. LOL! Pretty darn good, seeing that most things were panned. They focussed on his cat-eating ways. His segment...
