George Lucas. I honestly don't know what to make of it. Even when George was good, he was hardly good outside of Star Wars or Indiana Jones. I'm reserving judgement for that one.
Lego knows how to make a brand. Mixels, Ninjago, Bionicle, and Legends of Chima... all crazy worlds created to...
And to an obnoxiously stick up their butts degree. Archie has proven themselves to be apt with comic book adaptions and still Nintendo refuses a comic book license. And that's essentially the least they could do. You'd even think Nintendo would at least give Mario a native anime series, but...
They will until the first one bombs at the box office. No one's going to bother with these, not even ironically. Even though Battleship (and I instinctively typed that with a t at the end, and I wasn't even trying) did make it's money overseas (due to the fact they didn't know it was a video...
I wouldn't even give it the satisfaction of adding that to my "watched" list. I have to admit, a lot of these bad films at least have a morbid curiosity factor. I've been working up the nerve to watch a few minutes of Foodfight without commentary, but can't get through the trailer without...
Disney wants to squeeze every dollar it can from the princesses. That's obvious. The Palace Pet line up pretty much shows they're running out of revenue streams for those characters, and it does look a might desperate, especially ignoring actual palace pets from the actual movies.
It's things...
American Dad and Family Guy have different sets of writers. All the really talented ones went to AD. FG pretty much panders to the fans that watched reruns on adult swim in 2003 in between Halo games, not the cult watchers who bothered tuning in since 1999. They actually wrote for Meg back...
Family Guy painted itself into a corner with it's darker humor. Now the cast are all jerks to each other for laughs instead of just Meg. When they started doing that to Joe, that was a bit too far. One episode had Chris calling him a monster or something because he was giving Chris advice...
While I am very happy there is growing mention of her on some websites, as voice actors never get respect outside of animation fans, I really wish everyone would stop saying that she lent her voice to Powerpuff Girls. The character she played appeared twice, and was only cast as that character...
They never really completely left it, but they've made wiser choices and complete stunt casting before. This seems to be sort of a mid-ground. They haven't exactly marketing the heck out of her presence though. Considering that they didn't market a single bigger name in POM's spinoff movie...
YES! I'm glad someone took that one down a peg. I've thought that the odd logo obsession thing was a bit weird in the eccentric sense. There's stuff I get about it, except those constant mishmash logos that appear on Youtube. Yeah, yeah. We all want to see the 1980's Dic Logo after...
Indeed. Connections are very important. Every Cartoon Cartoon/Cartoon Network original was created by someone who worked on a previous series. There's definitely a good network, and you probably have to go to CalArts to get those kinds of connections. Though I do recall some animation...
I'm looking forward to that one. Dreamworks has made mostly quality films (minus Shark Tale) so far, and I don't see this as one to derail that. The worst thing I could say about Home is that the teaser short was shown before Peabody and Sherman instead of the Bullwinkle short, and even the...
I wouldn't even call that immature. That's outright disgusting. Also the reason why I don't do requests. Always do I get requests for something I really dislike and just put my foot down politely about it. I'm thankful I never had to go through that torment you got.
Seriously... disgusting...
Eh... As a huge Darkwing Duck fan (it was my early 1990's), I don't want to know what the problem is, and yet I'm morbidly curious as to what. Worst thing I've seen are ingrates that refused to get the comics because Bushroot was stylized or something. Yeah. That's a thing, apparently...
I have problems with fandoms in general, so I guess you can blame bad fandom for your own fan burnout. If there's three things that burn me out it's rotten fandoms for one, but also lack of new material or too much new material to really get caught up in. Granted, the last two kids are two...
Spoken like someone who hasn't given anything a chance.
There were always watered down cartoons. The 70's and 80's were the age of the watered down cartoon (with some thin exceptions in the 80's). Sure, in the 90's we had Ren and Stimpy (and even then, early Ren and Stimpy...later seasons...
The show still airs on Boomerang. That should count for something.
I don't think CN cares much for any non-PPG based Cartoon Cartoon, as that was the one that was the merchandising juggernaut of the group. At least we got that great one shot IDW comic. Seems there will be more short Fosters...
I have to admit, not having cable back then I only saw a decent number, but not a major amount of Courage episodes, and I really can't tell the season by season differences of a show unless I'm exposed to more of it.
But the longer a show goes on, the more likely the later seasons won't be all...
