Funny thing is, if a narrator were added saying names of facial parts while they contort, it actually would have been of some educational value. This seems to be scary on a weirder level than giant rabbit. It has a nightmarish, surreal feel to it that words elude me to describe.
Almost...
That skit is so wrong on so many levels. It's one of those Sesame Street bits that make you go "THIS IS ON A KID'S SHOW?!?!" I don't know what's more disturbing. The lack of music, the lack of anything besides those horrible noises, or the fact that the woman is oddly okay with her face...
Ah. If that's the case, giving Muppet Babies a TV-Y7 was an oversight.
Maybe it's because I consider Muppet Babies a Kindergarten-second grade type show.
Hopefully a big one. But then again 35 was a big one. Weird that other than a couple small events, they didn't bother with any 45th merchandising. And since they put their share of the merchandising back into SW projects, it's almost baffling why they didn't take advantage of it.
The whole thing can be chalked up to what made MT hit or miss. A lot of the pop culture bits worked. Unfortunately, they were all one shots. Seinfeld Babies was brilliant on many levels because it had levels. Bay of Pigs Watch didn't parody the show, didn't even give it a shallow parody. It...
Andy and Randy have that sort of lame dumb guys schtick that writers tend to think is funnier than it really is. Sort of like how bad Bebop and Rocksteady got in TMNT as early as season 3. Which is a shame, since the five part opening series showed them as a genuine threat, just not too...
If I can remember the story correctly, at one point Dustin Hoffman was considered as Mario.
Uh oh...definl'y defin'ly Mario... ohboy...gonna miss Wapner... Yeah, no.
Bob was pretty convincing as a Brooklyn Native. That's our American fiction right there. Something shared in all the cartoon...
Seems like something the moms will dump their kids onto. Not to mention regional winter breaks will pop up those daily totals.
I could go on a long rant on how Fifty Shades is essentially porn for those who are too bashful to bother with real porn, and how I've been told that the bondage in...
WOW.
Jupiter Ascending made less than 19 Million. Seriously... the film industry picked the wrong film to give more 3-D showings to. If it's going to even make back its bloated budget, they're going to have to rely on the foreign box office.
I like Leguizamo. But he was a poor choice for Luigi. Yeah, Luigi's supposed to be Mario's Younger Brother. Well... in the American fiction before Nintendo ruined it with Yoshi's Island. Only thing I hate about that game, actually. That and the boys not being born and raised in Brooklyn...
The rumors have become reality. Sony and Marvel will share Spider-Man with a second reboot film produced by Marvel coming in 2017. He can now be part of the MCU projects, but no word on it being before or after his debut film.
I agree partially, but disagree. Adaptions do indeed need some sort of expansion, and video games, no matter how detailed a story they have need it more than anything. Then again, the cartoons barely drew anything from the video games other than characters, themes, and music. But they managed...
If they fall asleep at the switch on the 50th, that would be stupid. But I have a feeling they've passed this one up specifically for that. And while 5 years can fly by like that, it's still 5 years...4 and a half years really, off. Then again, will they even bother making DVD's 4 and a half...
The SNL skit pretty much covers everyone under 30. You've never experienced anime fandom like the older animation enthusiast crowd. Not that it's in anyway a bad thing. These guys are far more die hard than the "going through an anime phase" types, but without the kawaii-ness attitude...
Didn't stop Japan from making one back in 1986. BEFORE the franchise was even fully flushed out. I don't buy "not enough source material" as an excuse beyond "we had names but didn't want to go beyond that." That's the truth behind live action cartoon remakes anyway. But the real problem...
Now that I think about it, why so many side characters?
What was refreshing about this episode (I have to tie it back in somehow, right?) was that it was about characters who are regularly on the street, established, and fleshed out. They've been doing way too many "let's help out this fairy...
If there's one thing that's disappointing about SW sitting out the 45th anniversary it's that we totally could have had a "45 of 45" collection... 45 skits, one skit from every year. They totally could cheap out with shorter skits to save room.
But no... just more Elmo and TV episode releases.
TV Y-7 was meant to placate lazy and or ignorant parents who can't tell the difference between preschool show and action show. Jackie Chan Adventures looks a lot different from Barney and Friends. That's Y-7 enough. TV-G is also useless, and I really think CN's TV-PG rating for half their...
Now that I think about it, yeah it was. UGH! I bet we're going to see that "Newsflash" bit at least one more time this season. I get what they're trying to do, but somehow it comes off poorly in execution.
Side note... do you think little kids that the show is meant for actually like the...
