I heard something about that, but I wasn't entirely sure if that really was the case.
And if that is the case, I guess it makes sense to a degree: Frank has openly admitted that's why we don't see him on SST anymore (not even for a day a year) because they can't afford him.
Oh yeah, axing PBS has always been at the top of their agenda since, well, the inception of PBS . . . but Romney was, perhaps, the nastiest about it, lol.
Okay, here's my current interpretation of the situation:
I'm going to guess that once Steve became Kermit that perhaps that was a little too much of a boost for his ego and probably made him feel like he could call more shots than he should - but at the same time, I still believe that Steve had...
Lol, you don't happen to have before and after comparison pics do you Ellie? Sounds hilarious! XD
I had a similar situation years ago with a wool cap: after going through the wash, it came out a fuzzy thimble. ><
Well, Season 20 began in 1988 and Season 30 began in 1998.
They went against schedule for Season 40 by premiering on a Tuesday instead of a Monday, because Tuesday happened to be November 10, 2009; I can guess they would try to do the same for 2019. Maybe.
Well, if this is how everything has gone down, then it really doesn't surprise me that Disney or the Muppets Studio would fire Steve on those terms. Why? Because this is something that happens all too often in the entertainment industry: somebody "gets out of line," (so to speak), gets too...
I think it was the weirdness factor that made it seem enjoyable at the time . . . it's a lot like how Krofft shows in the 70s were reeling in college kids and stoners on Saturday Mornings when the shows were intended for little kids.
You know what this is actually starting to remind me of? Way back when Teletubbies were taking over the world, the first guy who played Twinky Winky was fired because of that whole gay controversy . . . and the guy was actually pretty upset about that, because he apparently enjoyed the job.
Cho Man Chin - the Korean peddler who would often try to swindle the gang at the 4077th.
FRANK: Hey, you! That wristwatch you sold me runs backwards!
CHO: Try other wrist.
Zale also added an interesting dynamic to Klinger the way they would fight so often. And how could you not feel sorry for...
It always takes a while for us to get used to the recasts, but the thing of it is, after quite a bit of time passes, you do get used to it. Took me a few years to get used to Eric's Grover, Bert, and Fozzie, and David's Cookie, but now I'm so used to them that it seems unusual to hear Frank's...
Honestly, I thought the same thing about Johnny T.'s Ernie from PWMS.
Truth be told, I don't notice too much of a difference in Ernie's voice from that video, but Bert almost doesn't sound like Eric.
But, I have to say, this is perhaps the closest to Jerry that Matt has sounded as Count yet.
To rephrase what I said a couple of years back, Disney is the one who won't bring in Muppet writers to work on any of these projects, and I honestly believe that's what's hurting the Muppets more than anything.
As for the Muppet Thought of the Week, didn't Oscarfan say it would be delayed till...
