What roles have you played in Musicals?

Currently, I'm one of the Proteans in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" in my community.

Favorite Sesame human of all time

I think they're pretty much all good. From a humorous perspective, I like the way Maria reacts to things like special effects now. But as far as having a natural interaction with the kids and puppets, I think Alan is really emerging as one of the best.

Why is Steve Whitmire the voice of Kermit?

Yeah, I seem to remember reading that shortly after Henson's death, Frank Oz said they'd just reuse the old sketches. Obviously they changed their minds later...

What does your user name mean?

I like the Muppets, but I'm not the type who has to have 24/7 exposure to Muppets (or anything else I'm a fan of) to be happy in life. I'm just the sort of casual fan who exists in large enough numbers to make it worth the companies' while to put out new stuff for people like you guys.

Your Thoughts: The Muppets' Wizard of Oz

On the US broadcasts, on the Disney-owned ABC network, lame duck Disney head honcho Michael Eisner came on mid-program giving his usual gurgle about how special the program was.

Your Thoughts: The Muppets' Wizard of Oz

The movie was okay. Not great, but okay. I liked how they took things from the book that weren't in the MGM movie (the separate north/south witches, the silver color of the shoes, the green glasses, the wizard's separate forms, and the hat to call the monkeys, for example) but changed them...

Muppets Oz in Star Magazine issue April 25, 2005

Star huh? What, is it saying that Piggy's jealous because Ashanti's pregnant with Kermit's love child?

Muppets' Wizard of Oz cast list

I personally think a spoof would be more muppetlike than a straight version, but that's just me.

    Who likes Popeye?

Those were sold to Associated Artists Productions, which sold them to Turner, whose holdings were bought by Warner. So WB owns them now (Though King Features Syndicate still owns the characters).

Do you like Disney owning the Muppets?

You mean an upcoming TV movie isn't something? It may not be as much as we all want, but it is a heck of a lot more than they've done recently with, say, The Fox and the Hound.

    For the video game junkies...

I love video games now that I live alone and my brother isn't around to criticize my poor skill. Of course, the only game I actually have now is The Wind Waker, but I'll add more from time to time (I enjoy the Mario and Zelda series).

    Rose Float: Sesame

I was watching the news, and something came on about the Tournament of Roses parade (I think that's the right one). It briefly showed some of the floats, and one was a Sesame Street-themed float, with floral statues of Elmo, Big Bird, and Oscar.

    Any Brady Bunch Fans?

It was OK, as long as you knew not to take it too seriously. I don't think any of the reunions should have lasted longer than one episode, though.

    Who likes Popeye?

Eugene is the individual's name; Jeep is the species. What did everyone think of the CGI cartoon that aired a couple of weeks ago?

Are there any Left-Handed Muppet Fans

I'm a southpaw. I don't really feel that different, except when I have to use a chalkboard and maneuver around things that wouldn't be in a right-hander's way (I'm a teacher, and I travel from room to room). Judging from the responses to the last time this topic came up on the forum, there...

    Muppets as characters from comics

Well, you have personality to consider, too, and Rowlf is kind of laid-back (more so than most) But really, this is a fun challenge since the correspondence in personality is not one-to-one (for example, parts of Garfield's personality would better fit Cookie Monster). I don't really remember...
