I think canceling the Oscars and scaling it down like they are it a terrible idea. Yes, it should have a more somber tone, but the entertainment industry is one of America's greatest natural resources and it should be allowed to thrive. The power of film is even more important in wartime.
It...
I agree. Disney's release of Muppet Christmas Carol totally irritates me because I can't skip through the intro. Sure, it's only about 8 seconds, but it seems like a lifetime when all I want to do is view the horribly cropped film. :( More and more DVDs have blocked the jump forward button in...
In this very serious time of war, it depresses me that the network news treats this development like a theme park ride. There was a graphic counting down to war like Bush was going to cue the bombs right at that moment. I see it all as very tacky. ABC canceled its Monday night lineup just to...
Danny Glover was here yesterday. I thought he was a New Yorker. Anyway, star power at protests don't impress me much. I love Susan Sarandon. She's one of the best actresses working today, but politially, she's a rebel with many causes. That side just doesn't carry any weight with me...
Sid-
Come on. I don't think anyone's targeting Wrestlemania. :p
Although I disagree with your statements, much of it is thought out. However, I do object for you speaking for other people. Especially the deceased. Your assumptions do have merit, but they are still distasteful.
I just...
I'm not sure who should win yet. I like Clay, but he is more Broadway than Idol. That's actually a compliment. I can't see how his music would play in clubs along side Britney and Justin. This contest is really more about pop iconography than singing ability. On that, Clay and Ruben win hands...
They ran that scene when it aired on the Wonderful World of Disney in the 90s. It was a completed scene that was yanked a week before official release. Focus groups didn't like that part. I think it makes more sense, but it does take away from the dramatic impact when Eddie officially goes to...
You hacker, you! LOL! I think dupes would be minimal if prices went down on CDs and DVDs. I know people who will buy several versions of the same CD if the covers are different. Those are extreme collectors, but it more than makes up for piracy issues.
Getting back to DVDs. I still don't...
There was a wild rumor that Betty was topless in one frame of the theatrically released portion of Roger Rabbit and it was altered for the video release. You never know.
Anyway. I just saw the ad on TV! I'm very excited. Does anyone know if the pig scene is added into one of the...
I agree that the anti-France tactics are rather silly. I don't think there's any serious boycott going on - and if so, it won't last long. If some dolt wants to pour out thousands of dollars of his own French wine, let him. LOL!
What people are forgetting is the extreme childishness...
Yup. I've seen where perfectly good tapes won't play in top shelf new VCRs. It's rare, but it could be a malfunction in the tracking component. Craziness. We'd usually just refund the money of those who knew the right answers to our questions.
The copy protection tactics are completely lame...
That's more of a valid point, but I don't see this as a movie or Bush as an impatient cowboy. The topic of war has been going on for many months. It's not like anybody's jumping the gun and Saddam has had over a decade to get rid of his weapons. The idea that this is all spur of the moment is...
LOL! I've noticed that the special features on my Kermit Swamp Years DVD don't work properly on my DVD Rom drive. It fast forwards through all the menus so you have to click quickly. It's kind of funny, but very sad. It really is hard to wade throught the standards these days.
Heck, even VHS...
I half agree with you there. I believe that Saddam should have been taken out back then, but I really believe that Bush was speaking on the level about his intentions. A&E played one of the most profound interviews about his presidency where he answered some really tough questions. He also...

Thanks for checking. The Sotheby's auction catalog contains cels from deleted scenes and that was one of them that were apparently deleted to avoid a PG-13 rating. Oh, well.
Chris-
Yup. ILM created the shadows and the sequin FX on Jessica's dress. In order for the characters...
Hmm. Very interesting. I still feel that the pan and scan versions are a ploy because eventually these same "punters" are going to complain about the vertical bars when they eventually get widescreen monitors. LOL!
Disney's claim about including both pan and scan and widescreen on the same...
See, I've always thought that. Maybe it doesn't work on all sets or players. That's the only thing I can think of - or that the widescreen might only be visible on widescreen TVs. But couldn't there be a zoom feature encoded in the options? The real reason that these versions are seperate is...
