A Look Back to 1990: Disney and Henson

I also found the animatikon portion intriguing. Henson began with the low-scale Muppet Babies project, but in the hands of Disney, they could have done interesting things.

Eisner confirms Disney could buy Henson and Muppets soon

It is my assumption that technology will eventually integrate widescreen televisions into the norm within the next few years. Disney will undoubtedly release all-new widescreen versions then. The current pan & scan versions do annoy me. It's weird that the Laserdiscs were widescreen. So, have...

Original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD

I still feel it will happen. There's certainly enough demand for them - Lucas' ego aside. Doesn't 20th Century Fox have a say in it?

Original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD

Yeah, but isn't that the point of this thread? That Lucas doesn't indend to ever release the original versions of the first trilogy?

Original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD

I meant exactly what I said - I still don't see why they don't make a boxed set for the enthusiast. - I didn't say they'd have to release it tomorrow. Just when the DVD does come out, a boxed set including the original versions is in order. I thought we were all on the same page...

New Who Framed Roger Rabbit DVD with extras!!March 25!

Honestly (no throwing things) Groove will not be remembered as a classic like Beast, Mermaid, Aladdin or Lion King. They should have used a character from one of those films. My guess is that it was somebody's fave in the DVD production dept. Maybe there will be more Groove stuff soon. I enjoyed...

A Look Back to 1990: Disney and Henson

It was a chore. LOL! But I found it such a different look at the Disney/Henson merger than is usually seen. Jim seemed really excited about Disney ownership. Thing have certainly changed now, but it's interesting to remember how it all started.

Original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD

I still don't see why they don't make a boxed set for the enthusiast. Makes sense to me and it's money in the bank.

    War Coverage: Gratuitous or Necessary?

I hope that ball of gas doesn't win. He has an entertaining perspective, but goes way too far off the deep end. I kind of see Fallwell and Moore in the same light of extremism, but on different sides. Both are insulting and neither is very productive.:attitude: Guess I'm just a moderate. ;)

Original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD

I smell another enhanced Star Wars version. Maybe they'll remake the films every 5 years. :sympathy: Eeeeek! That's something I've thought about. Hope it never happens.

New Who Framed Roger Rabbit DVD with extras!!March 25!

I wonder how tightly Muppet scripts are written. It seems there is a lot of adlibbing.

New Who Framed Roger Rabbit DVD with extras!!March 25!

Yup. That scene was in the script. I actually like how they changed it and saved Droopy for later.

    The Sims

    One?? There's about three! :D

    The Sims

Oooh! I don't play the Sims, but cool. I love CSI! The best drama on TV (besides Law & Order). And the most attractive cast. Eeeek! Nuff said. :flirt:

    Kermit Leaning Fix

Just seems like a long (and potentially dangerous) way to go for the same result without warping the figure. I'm sure it works, but most of the boiling reports I've heard have been less than satisfactory. I think it has to do with the fact that it softens the already soft legs when they only...

    War Coverage: Gratuitous or Necessary?

I think fans would be upset if athletes saying that they should cancel the playoffs because a war is on. I don't see a difference with the Oscars. However, I can understand how they can be boring. I still think some monkey directs the show. So much wasted time. Still, I hope the Oscars go on...

New Who Framed Roger Rabbit DVD with extras!!March 25!

Well it'll be out on Tuesday so there's no rush. Well, I'm anxious anyway. I first saw the screenplay in a shop in LA in the late 80s. I flipped through it but couldn't buy it. We had to read several screenplays a week for a screenwriting class so I found a place that had some and...

New Who Framed Roger Rabbit DVD with extras!!March 25!

Hmmm. I remember an interview where Zemekis remarked about the use of Woody. I know he wasn't the right version for the period. What about Casper? He was in the original screenplay. I found a copy a while back. There was going to be a great funeral scene with all the characters, but they wanted...
