Well, their original company slogan was, "Broadcast Yourself." And, basically, this is what the original creators of the site intended it for. In fact, it's basically what Jim Henson foresaw in that HANDMADE VIDEO pilot he did just days before he died, when he described an era to come where it...
Well, unfortunately, that's not what YouTube was meant for in the first place. Yes, it did serve nostalgic purposes, as you say, and therre's been a good many of old and rare sketches, inserts, and episodes uploaded over the years for people to see again, but that wasn't what YouTube was meant...
And again, this is one of the reasons why I never bothered to reupload any of the SST episodes or videos I uploaded in the past: taking the risk and chance of having my channel terminated altogether wasn't worth it.
At least there's something of a grace period after you receive strikes for them...
From now on, the 1998-2001 SST opening theme is going to send shivers down my spine since they opened and closed the SST cast Q&A panel at the Knoxville Fanboy Expo with the instrumental score for that version of the theme.
1. Of course, it's one of my favorite holidays.
2. You mean as in Halloween-exclusive candy? That I'm not sure.
3. I'm not sure if YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN actually counts as a Halloween movie, but it's always enjoyable to watch this time of year; as for TV special, you can't go wrong with IT'S THE...
And again! Another new song this week!
On top of that, she's duped another poor British schmuck into being her current boyfriend . . . does she manage to find just the stupidest guys who live under rocks to lure to her fate? Anybody with half a brain stem can see from her patterns this isn't...
I think I simply had good timing when commenting: they were discussing characters, and while Carmen was discussing how she, Jim Henson, and Jon Stone created Rosita, I commented asking about why she eventually lost her wings; a minute or two later, Matt brought up my comment. Apparently, it was...
Hearing Matt Vogel say my name on today's episode of "Below the Frame" was pretty cool; and Carmen Osbahr blowing me a kiss and waving was really sweet too. :excited:
Actually, I never tried to recreate it at all, I just simply uploaded the song onto YouTube as a lyric video (and evidently got some of the words wrong since the cartoon sound effects made understanding all of the words rather difficult). But I can agree that a proper soundtrack release would...
True, but we're talking about how some of the new SW staff members are former Viacom employees, not the Viacom company itself.
You're right, it is their right, and they have been lenient until now, but I think @LittleJerry92 raises an interesting point as to why they're suddenly not so lenient...
I'm still a little sore that they dished out a copyright strike against me years ago for uploading a HEY ARNOLD! YouTube Poop, but then again, they don't seem to understand the concept of Fair Use.
But . . . I've also gotten copyright strikes from Twentieth Century Fox, Universal, and I think...
I hadn't even considered that connection, but now that you mention, it kind of makes sense now: never caring about what we've uploaded over the years (heck, in addition to full episodes, I even had the full Big Bird's Birthday special uploaded at one point), then all of the sudden not only...
HBO has had nothing to do with the creative decisions of the show or whatever directions they are going in - all that HBO is air the show and provide financial stability; other than that, Sesame Workshop still makes all of the creative decisions themselves.
Unfortunately, in recent years, SW...
Since my PBS doesn't even air ARTHUR anymore, and I've become disappointed with the 24-hour channel, I didn't even know that Season 21 started this week. Out of sight, out of mind.
Honestly, the show's pretty much kind of dead to me at this point.
Yoga sucks man, don't bother with it. Unless you're incredibly, incredibly flexible and a contortionist, you're just going to be miserable and uncomfortable the entire time.
