I mentioned this in another thread, but to me it's not just specific songs that are overused, but movie and TV show trailers are overusing the whole "depressing/ominous cover of a song taken out of context moaned out by breathy woman" schtick. And it's obnoxious.
The latest one is for that...
While I see your point, I have to say that the grounded element was already out the window when they started the "around the corner" era. That was the start of the weird focus on fairy tale characters randomly stopping by. I mean, don't get me wrong, the Furry Arms hotel was cute, and it was...
Kinda spoilery if you saw this on ToughPigs like I did.

As if you needed another reason to see a Pixar movie. Nice to know this movie took a page from Monsters INC and cast Muppet performers when the film clearly has some nice Muppety inspiration (Fear...
Oh and uh, linking to one of my poops? I'm incredibly touched by that. There's probably going to be some editor will pull the link down or it will get flooded by lots of dislikes somehow, but I'm very thankful for the reference. Thanks.

"The place is surrounded by orderlies! Keeping things orderly."
Stan Smith
"Sorry I'm late. I shoved an employee at Wendy's and they called the cops. You gotta warn someone before you hand them a square burger."

I'm also pretty sure most of those construction sites are well guarded or roped off anyway. Things may not have gotten that much better, but I don't see a huge resurgence of real life Fat Albert style junkyard hi-jinx among kids. Plus, I'm sure kids old enough to actually want to play aroubnd...
Doesn't mean kids still play in construction sites. Even back then, it's one of those retroactively cringeworthy things. I'm sure kids have better places to play than abandoned construction sites. Besides, those are mostly in the better off neighborhoods now. "Oh, it's going to be a condo"...
Certainly. The theme of the show is of an overly sheltered kid that wants to break free of his comfort zone and have fun. These two episodes restate this show's concept, and in two brilliantly different ways. One episode if full of self doubt, the other is full of overconfidence.
I just...
I actually rather like the last one.
Yeah, some awful things do manage to get some ironic fan art. Foodfight has a lot of it, unsurprisingly. Some of it is actually well done and give the ugly character designs a much needed improvement.
Seems Ultron isn't too far from the original's grand total. It's about at 1.3 billion right now. It doesn't have much further to go. It may just wind up tying or falling just short of the original in terms of overall international box office.
In other news, "actor" Mathew McConaughey says...
The Babysitter episode seems to have referenced all the same mishaps that befell Jeremy in the Comet Night episodes and had them all happen to Harvey. Nice little callback and proof that Jeremy wasn't so much incompetent as that egg manages to get into quite a lot of trouble.
Foo getting the...
This is a low level toyline from a 5th party company and all. I wouldn't expect them to be that good anyway. The humor seems obvious, and any attempt is just an excuse to call itself a "cartoon" when it's advertising. By all means, they're trying to be Lego in more ways than just the brick...
Honestly? You had me at 46 years. It's unprecedented that a show lasts this long, especially one for kids. Heck, even Scooby-Doo switched it's formula up once in a while. Sure it sucked sometimes (the Scrappy-Doo episodes where it was just him, Shaggy and Scooby and Shaggy and Scooby-Doo get...
