The Saddest thing that reminds you that you're old...

Same. Remember when Telly slept over at Big Bird and brought like a boatload of stuffed animals with him to the point they were spilling out of Big Bird's nest? Yeah, that used to be me. Maybe that's why I'm such an insomniac at as an adult? Aww, who am I kidding, I was always a light sleeper...

    Songs You Can't Stand

"Love So Soft." Granted, I don't hate it, it's just a really dumb song. It doesn't even sound like a song half the time, it sounds like tribal chanting accented with hiccups.

    The "You know what?" thread

And to think he used to be an Air Force Sergeant and had to yell at people all the time . . . and he was so miserable, that he vowed when he got out of the service, he would never raise his voice ever again.

The Saddest thing that reminds you that you're old...

I've seen a transparent prison TV set in a pawn shop before.

The Saddest thing that reminds you that you're old...

How is that horrible show even still on after all these years? It's done more disservice to nerds and neurotics than anything else.

The Saddest thing that reminds you that you're old...

You know you're old when you remember when the first "NOW (That's What I Call Music)" album was released. That commercial is still etched in my mind forever, they always played it during POKEMON every morning before school:

Who's Your Most/Least Favorite Sesame Street guest star?

Adam Sandler just sucks, plain and simple. Always has, always will.

Sesame Street Season 48 Episode 4803 - Elmo's Nursery Rhyme

Street story wasn't so bad, but I do feel like Kate McKinnon could have brought a little more to her Mother Goose performance - it seemed kind of phoned-in some of the time. Somehow, the cow jumping over the moon and landing on Telly seemed like a very, very subtle throwback to the Season 36...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot of women out there are still trying to look like Krapdashians for some reason?

    I get it, actually.

    The "You know what?" thread

I saw an owl sitting on the power line outside my house night.

    Confessing Crushes...

When I was a really really little kid, my first cartoon crush was Daphne from Scooby Doo: Even at that age, I was amazed at how they always managed to draw her so anatomically correct, especially dem shapely legs. Hurrr.

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Well, Christmas is off to a poor start this year with above average, spring-like temps for the next several days, but then by mid-week next week, we're supposed to bottom out into an arctic plunge, so hopefully by then it'll feel more like Christmas.

Ask A Pig All the Questions

The interesting thing about GORDY is that the screenplay was written by the creators of GREEN ACRES, which featured the intelligent pig Arnold Ziffel (not to mention Tom Lester appeared in both).

    Jim Nabors RIP

No, you're right, Emmett was essentially Floyd's replacement, and while Floyd may not have exactly been on the same driving level as Andy and Barney, or even Gomer or Goober were, he was still an essential, intregal part of the Mayberry family, so it's sad that they also tried filling his void...

    Ehhhh. . . . I'll Bite

I'm not too picky when it comes to that, but I do have a strong preference for music from the 60s through the 80s. There's even some 90s and 2000s music I like simply because it was part of my childhood.

Ask A Pig All the Questions

Do you still get together with the mice and demons and tippity-tappity-tippity-tappity-tippity-tappity-tippity-tappity-tippity-tappity all night long on Halloween?

    Ehhhh. . . . I'll Bite

Gund usually makes good-looking plushies, so I like them; I actually have a Gund Grover.

    Ehhhh. . . . I'll Bite

Well, I grew up with the 80s versions of the characters, so I naturally have a strong preference for them. Except for Brittany, maybe - her overtly 80s design just seems painfully and pitifully dated today, lol. I don't mind the current ALVINNN designs at all, and in fact, I really love all of...

    Jim Nabors RIP

I didn't know! I'll have to look into that! I have to agree. For me, the magic was completely lost when we lost Barney, the show switched to color, and they brought in all of these other different townsfolk to fill in the void left behind by Barney. Speaking of which, something I learned from...
