If you re-read everything they have planned, it all sounds good. I hope Disney will pull all that stuff (EXCEPT the CGI Muppets) off and get us some good productions and merchandise!! Oh, and let Palisades keep that license for as long as they want it!

I ride a motorcycle as well as I tell jokes! Um--can't we just stick to the banana sketch?

That's a GREAT idea...
Actually, on most Muppets you can still see the seam. What HIDES the seams so well is the type of fleece they use to make the characters: Antron fleece. It's kind of got a fluffy surface which hides the seams very well. Of course, with fur, you don't have that problem. After you sew the...
Happy birthday to my pal, Byron! The funniest, nicest person on the net. If the world was full of more folks like you they'd all be tall and hairy, but at least the world would be a better place to live!
YAY BYRON! Here's to many many more!
Jerry Juhl (per my remembrance) left the company during Muppets From Space, or just before. I doubt he's done anything recently, but I would think Disney a VERY smart company if they would pull him out of retirement when (if) they (hopefully) start a new tv series! That would rock my world and...
I wish they would, too. I loved seeing Daffy and Donald paired up among other characters. I always wished a TV series called "Toontown Chronicles" could come to TV and have all the characters mixed in together from different companies, etc. That would never happen, though.
You're absolutely right about the EM.TV thing, and I said that was a doomed deal when the news about it first developed. I'm just torn on the whole Disney thing. Oh, and if they DO go CG with Muppets then yes it is practically replacing Steve Whitmire if they use him for little more than a...
I just typed in some responses and the post was too long. Here's basically what it said:
Pauly gave me hope by reminding me that they DID mention "The deal also includes non-exclusive production and consulting agreements under which The Jim Henson Company is expected to develop potential new...
Their most successful line is Winnie the Pooh, that's without saying. I learned that when I worked at The Disney Store (back when I first began to become uninterested in The Big Cheese). Disney Princesses and Power Rangers are big in the market place, but I don't recognize them on TV at all...
LOL! There's so many Kevin's in the world now that it wouldn't matter none. I just want to fill the world with Kevins so it REALLY won't matter later... Just, after you sign your name, sign "Kevin" on there somewhere. That will work since you are now, after all, an Honorary Kevin.
Let's look at a few thigns about this article now:
Most of this looks great to me, but computer-generated three-dimensional animation projects scares the caca outta me!! What does THIS mean?? That they'll partner with JHC to create 3D CGI films like Finding Nemo with Pixar, or that...
I had an email from a JHC rep. that I was talking to about a location in a Muppet film, and she said it was completed also.
This could be a good thing or bad thing; however, I'm sure that over the next 5 to 7 years we'll be inundated with great Muppet stuff, but after that it'll decline...
