    Uncle Grandpa

Not to mention the subtle reference to the fact that what they were referencing was made when he was President. I really like how they continued the skit from several episodes back, clearly referencing and parodying Muppet Babies, yet went with an entirely different premise instead of a...

    When you need to rant...

By all means both sides on this are freaking terrible. There's nothing wrong with healthy competition. Rivalries in sports (no matter what scope they are) are supposed to be fun, but everyone takes them too seriously. And while there are bad levels of fandom here, nothing compares to the...

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

I'll believe that when I see it. Every time it's announced, like a week later they announce it's not gonna happen. Anyway, yeah. The Weinsteins company is terrible unless your a name director they happen to favor. Unless you're Quentin Tarantino, I'd abandon all hope before ye enter if you...

    Favorite Seinfeld moments?

I just love the delivery on that line. It wouldn't have had the same impact if he said "maybe we should just call you "T-Bone." Instead of Maybeweshouldjust...call you T-BONE!!!"

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

Those guys are horrible people. They love to hide behind their indie cred but they're worse than the big studios at executive meddling. Especially with animation. When it comes to what they do to their animated movies, it almost makes the idiotic decisions Jeffery Katzenburg made to the Black...

    When you need to rant...

Subway ticks me off. If they aren't shoving Jared in our faces (which they no longer do as a result, and also...that came out wrong), they're doing those obnoxious "if you eat fast food once, you'll automatically turn into a World Record Holder for fattest piece of garbage ever" ads. And...

    When you need to rant...

My feeling on participation trophies is this. Peewee sports are a scam. I dunno about other states, but over here not only do parents have to pay a fortune, but they also force the kids to beg for money to support the team. PeeWee baseball, anyway. That's disgusting. At the end of the day...

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

Well, TTG is no longer the worst show on the network. They apparently brought back Baby Looney Tunes. REALLY?!?

    When you need to rant...

Two things have been bugging me lately. I'm sure some of you have heard about that Football player who made his kids give up their participation trophies. Now I don't want to have this whole debate about how stupid these things are and that no one likes them, but side rant, the ones that rant...

Wait a Minute... "DreamWorks' Dragons"? What?

You know, I saw the trailer to that a few days ago during something on Cartoon Network and when I first looked at it, I scoffed. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact these were prehistoric creatures made of machinery that were in a prehistoric world. Then I realized how silly questioning...

West Nile, Swine Flu, Meningitis, and Sequelitis

It should totally be "Sharknado 4: The Joke is *&^%ing Dead Already!" Seriously. Yeah, the same crappy film team that makes crappy DTV movies to crappily cash in on other films in the same way that Enchanted Tales fooled myopic grannies into buying their grandkids crappy Disney knockoffs...

Kermit and Miss Piggy Officially Split!

And the frustrating thing is, this whole stunt was supposed to be a satire of that nonsense. Celebrity news is as choreographed as this publicity stunt for the show, and we all know about crap like TMZ (which isn't news nor should it be a legitimate show) and tabloids (they're still a thing?!)...

Sesame Street shrinks to 30 minutes, new shows will premiere on HBO and PBS nine months later

Thanks for clearing that up. I really do like the idea of a spinoff show in addition to the half hour version.

Sesame Street shrinks to 30 minutes, new shows will premiere on HBO and PBS nine months later

Totally confused by the vagueness here. The spin off will be the show or in addition to the show. Just want to clear that up. I'd hate it to become the Elmo show literally, not in an Elmo detractor sense.

Sesame Street shrinks to 30 minutes, new shows will premiere on HBO and PBS nine months later

As in, the entire show would be Muppet focused but virtually the same? I don't know how to feel about that.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Actually, on the subject of the Fantastic Four, I'm sure we've all heard of the FF movie that Marvel fans actually want to see, "Doomed." The documentary about Roger Corman's version. Here's a trailer: I've never actually bothered to watch the YT videos of the original movie, but one thing...

Sesame Street shrinks to 30 minutes, new shows will premiere on HBO and PBS nine months later

Hmmm. I checked both season 43 and 44, and even then the number of new episodes was over 18. So there's clearly some mistake here. But I still wonder about the 46th season. I'd gather the half hour format must've been in consideration for a while, but everything about the HBO deal suggests...

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

Actually, I highly recommend the new Alvin and the Chipmunks series. It feels like it's just a CGI version of the early 90's version of the show, mainly due to Janice and Ross Jr. doing the whole thing. Only thing I'd say is a slight negative is some of the references are a might "We're still...

Sesame Street shrinks to 30 minutes, new shows will premiere on HBO and PBS nine months later

The corporate sponsorship hasn't been mentioned in any of these articles. It seems the general funding comes from PBS, their merchandising, and corporate sponsorship. And I believe you mentioned something a while back. Surely, there are still "Arthur Vining Davis Foundations" and those little...

Sesame Street shrinks to 30 minutes, new shows will premiere on HBO and PBS nine months later

I'm going to be completely honest here. Even with Hasbro getting the license, the problem with the merchandising funding stems from the disappointing nature of the merchandise. Sure, Funko has their Sesame Pops that are excellent... but I'm very disappointed about the lack of collectibles from...
